Ketchakiddee or Tike's Peak

I did a search and read some old threads, but would love to hear some new thoughts as I know the parks can change with time. I am wondering if it is worth a trip to either of these with a toddler? I am wondering how much self directed play she would be able to to do at either one or if we would need to assist with all the attractions at the park. Toddlers don't always like assistance! Thanks!

I love ketchakiddie. Typhoon lagoon has fewer restricted rides.

My kids have both gone as babies. Last time we went, my daughter was 15 months. They loved the shallow lagoons, the baby tubes, etc. They take their afternoon naps in the lovely, shaded Lazy River.

My three year old was able to actually go down the big slides using the red-light/green-light system they have.

Definitely- I suggest Typhoon Lagoon.

Tike's Peak is good if you have runners. It's more self-contained, easier to keep track of your kid(s). We have found that the kids fight over the (kiddie) tubes at Typhoon Lagoon, and the set up at Blizzard Beach/tikes peak works better. The kids can do the kiddie tube by themselves.

The 2 year old loved it, but our son was 5 and short last time we were there and the training camp area was too deep for him, but he was kind of too big for tike's peak. He wasn't ready for bigger slides at the time, so it was awkward.

They both loved both water parks. You can find things to do at either for all ages.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe we will try out Ketchakiddie when we go! The photos are great too. So nice that she smiled for the photopass photographers and everything!
