I was unaware that Mr. Podesta was a campaign advisor for Mr. Kerry. At the very least it's a statement of fact, unlike Mr. Dole's comments yesterday:

They do real well at reading however, reading they have down pat... particularly children's stories such as "My Pet Goat".

There's a children's show on called Fatherhood. It's pretty
good as it teaches honesty, etc. A recent show was referencing
lying. The father was dieting and told his spouse that he could

to my son using this example. He immediately understood that
all campaign ads were probably lies. Funny how even a 9 year
old can see the truth. I don't say it's just the Bushies doing it
but it's pretty bad when a 9 year old understands and we grownups somehow do not.

won't be fooled again. Hope you hawks enjoyed your playtime
with all the war toys in Iraq at the cost of nearly 1000 American

My numbers were slightly off (they both proposed a billion dollar cut, Kerry's included a cap for future years, though, in order to prevent the surplus in the future.....also important to note, this was pre-9/11) but here ya go, Elwood. Pacifist. Interesting word in that it has "fist" in it. Anyway...

Hindsight is a beautiful thing, isn't it. I don't like the idea that WMDs weren't found but that doesn't take away from the fact that a lot of other intelligence agencies were thinking the same thing. They will be properly accounted for someday. Hopefully not when one goes off in your downtown.

First, since you didn't respond until after I corrected my post, it makes no difference whether there was a mistake or not.

Secondly, it's not a qualifier, it's a correction. Bnsyder was kind enough to point out my error. We weren't talking about political candidates, we were talking about political parties and campaigns.

A politician who is being investigated for personal wrongdoing has nothing to do with an entire political party being investigated.

Apples and oranges and you know it.

So, can you name any activity that the Democratic party is engaged in that has sparked a criminal investigation?

I didn't think so. Not quite the softball that bsnyder thought it was, huh?

To be clear, I personally have problems with the Patriot Act.

Mr. Kerry never missed a moment of duty for two of the purple hearts and the other purple heart, (was it rice or shrapnel?) he missed a half a day. To put it in perspective, when DH was in Viet Nam, he had two different wounded commanders who went AWOL from the hospital to be with their troops. Kerry used his purple hearts to desert his men.
