Kenny's carts

You guys are amazing!

We are really think the cabins at The Fort will be our next trip for our family of 6 . I just spoke to tee time today and got an amazing price quote for a 6 seater golf cart. We would need to use their truck as we will be driving down in a van with out a hitch . So we have never been to FW where would I find the address to the back gate ?Would this work ? I would do pre check in and go with Hubby in our van to follow the truck . Hubby could pick up the truck and cart and our 19 year old could be waiting in the back over flow lot . We could unload turn right around and take the truck back . Can you tell me what is The latest time they let you pick up ? We plan on stopping on the way to spend a little time at USS Yorktown in SC . So we would not be living Mount Pleasent SC until 1:00 or 2:00 pm .

The green line marks the usual entry into the Fort with the green circle being the guard shack. The red line shows where the back entrance is leading to the overflow lot. The red circle shows the location of the gate which your MBs will open. If you follow the red path it leads straight across the backside of the parking lot, past the bus depot and into the campground. This saves you from dealing with the congestion of the the check in area. Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, the blue circle shows the overflow lot for the RVs and trailers.

@tink15823 Just be mindful, that your pick-up of the cart from Tee Time gets "scheduled" based upon the 'returns' for the day. Since those leaving the Fort need to be out by 11AM, you may not be able to pick up the cart at the same time you are checking in. It sounds like a great plan, but you know what they say about the best laid plans.... :)

Either way, I hope you have an awesome time.

Kelly, who handles the rentals, will text you a day or two before the pickup date with instructions. When she does, give her an idea as to when you would like to pick the cart up and she'll do her best to match it up for you. They got me both of my carts prior to 10am.

And don't forget to ask Tee Time if someone is leaving the Fort around the time your checking in to see if you can take possession of their cart. We did this the last time we rented from Kenny. They had the previous renter leave the cart at the marina with the key under the seat. Worked out well.

Can you go in the back entrance when you first arrive or do you have to go in through the guard shack when arriving? I actually drove into that gate by mistake when I was trying to check in earlier this month. It was my first time at the Fort and followed my apple maps of which led me to that gate. I then made it to the main guardhouse to check in.

TIA

You have to go through the main guard station on initial check in at this point. Now, there are some who have been reporting having all of their check-in finalized and site assigned prior to arrival which technically means they should be able to come in this back gate and avoid the congestion of the front gate.

void the congestion of the front gate.
I guess we just time things right with our "Early" arrival time (or had a little extra Pixie dust). We have NEVER had congestion at the front check-in area. Now, in the Overflow Lot..... That's a different story.

Thanks. I was lucky I guess and actually drove right up to the front gate without any waiting.

It is true tiggerdad. We received a message thru My Disney Experience that we can bypass the check in and go straight to our site if it is ready. we are not going to use this as we may ask for a different loop than the one we have been assigned. I would imagine that it would be easier to do this if we haven't already been assigned a loop ad site.
