Has anyone ever had to leave part of their family behind because DCL won't allow them on the boat??? We have 2 precious little ones that we want to take on vacation with us. We will be gone from home for nearly 3 1/2 weeks. I don't mind boarding our "children" for a week, but can't do it for the entire time.

Once again. I come asking for assistance. Has anyone ever used any kennels in the Port area? I would appreciate any and all suggestions!!!

Thanks,
Michele

We have never used these, but there are a few listed in the yellow pages in the area. One that I have driven by frequently and looks quite nice is Barkingham Palace on US 1 (4210 S. Hwy 1) in Rockledge. Ph # is 321 636 7387. It has a website - www.barkingham.com. It is roughly 10 miles south of Hwy 528, which goes to the port. You would get off of 528 and head south on US1, drop off your pet, head back to 528 and then go east another 3 miles to the ship.

Another possibility is Bow Meow Grooming and Boardinf in Cocoa Beach (349 N. Orlando Ave). 321 783 7684. Don't know anything about that one.

I live in Melbourne and have heard EXCELLENT things about Barkingham Palace, also. Never used them--because we always pay a friend to house and dog sit. They provide pets w/ rooms that have beds and t.v.s!!! Plus organized play time. Driving past their facilities--very nice looking!

Wow, so many people recommending the same place, I must look into this.

Thank-you for all of your help.

I love my DISboards "family"

Michele
