We may be going to DL this summer and would like to know if anyone has used the kennel? If so please let me know how your 4 legged child liked it. Thanks.

We have used the kennels at DL and will be using them again this summer. They are indoors, they do have a few that are outdoors for larger pets. In the kennels, you must take your pet for walks in the kennel yard , the CM are not allowed to touch the pets. We take a blanket and our own food and water bowls. They do have food their that they can feed as well as paper type bowls for them. The CM's have always been very nice and helpful. Once our bulldog got sick and they called us on our cell so that we could check on him.

They do also require you to provide proof of vaccinations. This can be either faxed by your vet or you must have a copy. If you call they can tell you exactly what you will need.

It was funny when we stopped by in December to view the new kennels, they told us that they can keep any kind of pet as long as it is not illegal or poisonous. they also said they have even kenneled a fish....thought that was funny!

Oh, remember too, no over night stays...they did have a list of hotels and other kennels in the area that will allow pets.

We used the kennel in October for our dog and we were pleasantly surprised. The kennel was very clean and the cast members were great with our dog. We had to make sure we brought our papers every day, so even though we were there the day before, we still had to bring our papers.

We brought our own blankets, toys, food. They do provide water, so we just brought our own bowl. You do need to come and visit every 3-5 hours so you can walk and visit with your pet. There is an attached outdoor area to take your pet to do his business and get some exercise.

Some of the dogs in there were really very calm and some were very shaky, but the CMs are so good with the animals. Our dog was in the middle. He would be calm while in there, but he would bark when we would walk away. He's not really kenneled, so, he is a bit nervous, but they all said he did very well.

We will be using it again in October. We would not think twice about using it again. I would recommend the kennel to anyone.

Oh....we did ask about how busy they are. They said the only time they every were completely booked was mother's day weekend and new year's eve. Otherwise, they usually have kennels openings.
