Kennedy Space Ctr.....a few questions!!! TIA!!!

DS & DF are cruising NCL tomorrow out of NYC. First stop (Tues) is Port Canaveral.

They want to go to Kennedy Space Ctr as they have from 10am-10pm in the Port.

#1) Does anyone know if KSC gives a AAA discount?

#2) How do you get from the Port to KSC? Roughly a cost?

You have to get the tickets ahead of time to get the discount. I would rent a car to get to KSC.

Ya, they kinda dropped the ball on this....like last minute with wanting to do this things.

Hmmm....so no shuttle/coach type buses (they have no problem paying a fee) to KSC from the Port???

There are shuttles offered by Mears (at least when i was last there). It was very nice. They pick you up at your resort in a van and then you meet up at a shopping center somewhere in Celebration and switch over to a bus. The bus takes you there and then sits and waits. If I remember correctly the bus leaves at either 4 or 5. I think we got there at around 10, so we get to spend all day there. NASA have different tours and movies and a whole lot of stuff to see. When I was there they had just started building something similar to Mission:Space so that might be something to look into.

Thanks spaceace, for your reply BUT they will be arriving at Port Canavarel on their cruise ship Norweigan Cruise Lines and the ship will be in the Port from 10am-10pm and they wanted to know how to get from the Port over to KSC. (They will not be in Orlando.) They had the whole day Tuesday free to explore before heading off to the Bahamas.
