Does anyone know if any bus/shuttles run from the WDW area to KSC, if so how much does it cost or a link to the website would be great. Do they run daily, how long do you get at KSC? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance. :thumbsup2

I took a Mears shuttle from WDW to Kennedy in 2001 and I think it cost around $30 per person return then.

We were picked up from our resort in a mini-bus and transferred to a large coach at one of the DD hotels (Grosvenor?) along with people from other min-buses. The trip took a bit less than an hour and a half door-to-door, I think, and they had on-board overhead TVs showing UK comedy programmes (!). I think we arrived at KSD about 10 and had to be back on board the coach for 5pm - plenty long enough for us to see everything we wanted.

I thought it was good value, very easy and straightforward :thumbsup2

Thank you Hilary. How did you book the Mears shuttle...can you do it through their website as I have looked but can't find anything? :confused3

Has anybody gone out to see a space shuttle launch. Are there any tips as to where to watch the launch from and are there any organised trips for launch days. I don't fancy gaetting lost in the middle of the night if it's a nighttime launch?

Try Viator tour http://www.viator.com/tours/Orlando...-with-Transport-from-Orlando/d663-2855KENNEDY
from $79.99 incl coach and admission, add ons available. Thre is a 5% discount code around, don't have it here with me.
Don't know who they use, could be Mear's.
Used Viator in New York but never for Orlando.

For viewing a Shuttle launch, we went to Titusville last August, one of the best things I have done in my life, atmosphere was amazing, arrived about 2 hours before launch could not believe how quiet the roads were, coming home Sat Nav took me an unusual route via Christmas again no traffic. Very easy as others complain about bad traffic.

NASA is stopping the Shuttles going soon aren't they?

If you don't do it then I guess you wont get a chance again.

The one going up in October has had it's launch time changed from morning to something like 2 a.m. - so it will be watch it on the news for me.

we did titusville in feb as well and it was such a great view. I have never seen anything like it and it was great

Think its still planned for Oct. 8, I am hoping for a big delay. We are there from 23rd-31st Oct, would love to see another launch, even better if its a night launch.

The new shuttles will take off in the same way as the old ones land. It will be a ne sort of shuttle not the end of the shuttles.

No, I can't find a way to book online now, either! The website seems to deal only with airport transfers.

When we booked, I thought we made the reservation online before we headed to orlando, then we had to telephone the night before the trip to confirm resort and pick-up time. However, it may be that I just researched it online and then phoned to make the actual booking. My memory isn't too hot at the best of times, and this was a few years ago LOL!

Have you tried posting on the main Transportation board?

Great photos - I would love to see a launch that close.....we saw a shuttle go up in Sept 2000 from the Idrive area - I regret not going to KSC to see it close up.
