I have read how crowded the center is on launch days, but are the crowds just as bad when the launch is for an orbital weather satellite? We were planning on going on a day when the satellite is "scheduled" to launch. Just wondering?

TIA

I know that KSC is closed to visitors except for those with special tickets on shuttle launch days, but that is not the case for other launches. From what I've heard, seeing any sort of a launch is a spectacular experience. You might find some useful information about where is the best place to view on the launchphotography.com site.
