Before we left I heard that the bus tour takes about 2 hours. We took over 4 hours and we weren't lolly-gagging (though we did have lunch at one of the stops)

I think you have to do the bus tour.

We were very disappointed to miss the shuttle launch and the rocket launch. Both were delayed until after our visit. That's how things go.

The space station 3D movie was so good. We wished we had watched both, but we ran out of time.

The shuttle launch experience was so lame after being in Mission Space.

Definitely a place you should visit at least once. :darth:

No no, the only thing that was lame was the 'Shuttle Launch Experience' which is a ride like 'Star Tours', but not as good.

We were disappointed to not get to watch a launch, but we loved the bus tour, (I was just warning people it took longer than expected) and looking at all the space rockets, and touring the old shuttle, and the movie, and the other little movies along the bus tour, and...

I don't always word things clearly. Turns out.

A few questions if you dont mind. Is the tour bus only or u get off at places? Do they allow strollers on the bus? Do the movies cost extra? What kind of lunch is available there?

DH & I will be there for a day and a half, arriving about 2pm on midweek before Christmas. The next day we'll be there for the full day.

Given our timing, any suggestions on which order to see things in? For example, should we do IMAX first and wait to do the bus tour the next day? Any suggestions, much appreciated! :goodvibes

cheers,

The bus tour makes three stops. The first one is just an observation tower. The second one has space station parts and the third one is the big one with the giant rocket (make sure you see the movie). That stop takes the longest. There is a lot more to see, and there's food there. You can get a grilled sanwhich or salad made fresh or you can pick up chicken strips, pizza, bbq pork etc that's been sitting out. The fries were not good.

It doesn't matter which day you do the bus tour, but someone told us to do it first and I'm glad we did because that's really where you want to spend most of your time, except if you can fit in both 3D movies you totally should (not necessarily on the same day). They are free with admission.

I noticed that they had strollers for use at the bus stops, so I don't know if that means you couldn't bring your own.

Ahhhh...I see...lol
I was trying to get to the KSC in January, but I doubt we will make it out there. We have a lot of plans like Cirque, Sea World, Universal, and of coarse shopping.

Thx a mint for the extra info. Ive planned this for DH but it sounds like I'll enjoy it too. :goodvibes

cheers,
:flower3:
