Kennedy Space Center - suitable for DD5?

I wanted your opinions - Will my 5-year-old girl enjoy Kennedy Space Center?

Initially we planned to spend the day in Epcot, then drive to Residence Inn, Cape Canaveral (the next day we will be on Disney Cruise). I am thinking if we should leave WDW around noon, visit Kennedy Space Center for a few hours (if this is on our way to Port Canaveral).

Please advise.

I hated science and space, etc, but that was one of the most fun places we have been other than WDW!!! I love it there and can't wait to go back!!

What should DD5 expect in Kennedy Space Center? Is this more or less a science museum, or there are some rides/activities for kids?

in the vistors center proper -- there are alot of walk thur exhibits that she may like - also the imax threater.

I went when I was five and I still remember thinking it was awesome! I think she will enjoy it

We were just there this summer with our 5 year old and she loved it. They have a kids play area that she really liked plus alot of the exhibits are interactive so it's like playing video games.
