Kennedy Space Center and Little Ones

Don't know whether this will be moved - we are booked on 2/26 Wonder. We are planning on spending Saturday at Kennedy before checking into a hotel (any suggestions - have rental car for week). DH and I are really looking forward to the Space Center (being as mom and dad woke me up to see Neil Armstrong....Ugh I am old!). What I need to know is how "toddler" friendly the Center is for little ones. My DD will be 3 and DS 5.

I'd really like to know this, too. We'll have DD8 and DS 4 next time we go, and I'm really looking forward to a tour here. What are good ages for the kids?

We took our boys to Kennedy Space Center when they were preschoolers, and they loved it.

KSC admission includes admission to the Astronaut Museum down the road, which has lots of interactive things for all ages. Tons of fun.

The astronaut museum has a lot for little ones, the KSC really doesnt have alot. There is a small area in the rocket garden to play. And an area where water spurts out so they can get wet if it's hot. During last years hurricanes some of the rockets toppled over, I don't know if they destroyed the play area or not. We havnt been there since that time.
We loved KSC but in my opinion it is not geared for young children. There are a lot of plaques to read and displays to be seen, but little ones can't possibly understand it. My grandkids would be bored with it. But older kids, say 7 or 8 and up would probably love it. Everyone likes different things, but for a young kid I would think it would be boring.
we have been there twice and still have a couple more things to see, so it is an all day trip to see it all.

If they had the astronaut museum when we were there I don't think I knew about it. We went 3 years ago when my daughter was 3. I think there may have been times when she was a bit bored, but on the whole she seemed to have fun. about 9 months to a year after we got back my daughter brought me a candy bar and asked the name. I told her it was a Milky way. She looked at me and said no mommy the Milky way is in space. I'm convinced she learned it from when we were there. She really seemed to enjoy herself, they had lots of stuff to see, and walk around. There was a rocket garden she had fun looking at, and a little play area and water area she played in.

our dd was 5 when we went after disembarking, she had a good time on the tours and remembered a lot more than i thought she would. we did everything, the imax movie, mission control tour, space station tour, playground. there were some indoor things for kids as well. she got to run a rover by rc, made a pic in a space suit, with planet surface background. someone told me that they thought nasa had gotten disney telp make ing
