Certainly, some companies experience increases and declines in quality. Maytag used to unbeatable, now, not so much. LQ changed their name to LQ because they got such a bad reputation when they were known as Goldstar. The name change brought a huge jump in quality.

I agree. I used to be hung up on Maytag, not so much now.

And, yes, LG means Lucky Goldstar!!!
