her husband is co-hosting today. I was surfing thru the channels; he is driving me crazy!! Instead to looking at the audience, he keeps looking at himself in the monitor - how vain can you be?

I love when he is on with her. It was great when he asked the contestant who she would pick, him or Mario Lopez, and she picked Mario.
I like Kelly because she doesn't hide her faults, the fact she can be star struck etc. How many celebrities would admit they were so star struck that they almost accidentally shoplift a book for a book signing?

I used to love the show; but now it's just Regis and Kelly name-dropping all the time. I absolutely loathe Donald Trump; Regis never misses an opportunity to brag about going out with "the Donald".

i was so looking forward to retiring and watching all my favorite morning shows; now they moved Ellen to 4PM and Rosie has become obnoxious.

Oh gawd, does this mean I have to start spending my mornings cleaning?

When "acting" they get to take a scrpt home, memorize it, get retakes if they mess up etc.
Bigt difference between that and hosting a live TV show.

Also I think except for some scripted part(like reading the contest disclaimer), they are told what to talk about, but not what to say.
If you were watching when he was telling what was coming up next, I could tell he was looking at something and trying to figure it out. He then asked Kelley to help him pronounce the name of the group that was performing.

I'm a DISsenting voice here. I just love to watch Kelly Ripa on the show, and her husband is pretty easy on the eyes. It's nice to watch something and just laugh and enjoy it. It's one of the things I look forward to on my every-other-Friday off.

I just happened to see it this morning since I'm home from work.

Maybe I missed something but I thought at the very beginning of the show they mentioned that they called Mark at midnight last night as a last minute replacement. If that was true, I say he did just fine.

I guess I don't get to see it more then 4 or 5 times a year and I enjoyed it.

I think the fans just don't speak up on these threads. We saw the show last July when in NYC and thoroughly enjoyed it. Both Regis and Kelly are so personable with the audience and guests. They really are not worrying about how they look. They poke a lot of fun at themselves too. They would come talk to us (the audience) at each and every commercial and were SO funny. These breaks were better than the show at times.

Kelly and her kids were also at some mall type place when we were there. The store employees remarked about how kind and unpretentious she always is.

Kathy Lee on the oher hand HAD become annoying. She promoted herself too much towards the end. Every good deed was broadcast.

Regis can be cranky but I still think he's great.

Kelly and Mark seem down to earth and sweet together.

I'll take them any day over The View's co-hosts, other than Elizabeth, that is.

I like hearing Kelly tell stories about her kids, since my kids are close to the same age as hers.
