Kelly Monaghan universal guide

Hi,

Awhile ago I saw a link somewhere for purchasing both of Kelly's books .. Universal and the Orlando guide. Can anyone help me?

Also, I have the Universal book, copyright 2000 first edition. Is there much difference between this guide and the 2001 second edition?

As for the differences between the editions, maybe you can ask him. I know in one, there wasn't much about CityWalk and the Restaurants, and the onsite hotels (No HRH, and of course RPH)

The edition I read didn't have anything about the parking garage either, and so the parking stuff was not current.

There were some other shows that aren't there either (I think it talked about the Xena show)

I have 3 of Kelly's books....

Orlando's Other Theme Parks 1997/2000
Universal Studios Escape The Ulitimate Guide 2000

I am sure Kelly himself will answer this question. It has more updates in it that could be useful. I just wanted to add that his book "Universal Studios Escape" is a GREAT book to have if you haven't been to Universal many times. I love that book and have bought many copies for friends who were going on vaca to Universal. It concentrates on the parks alone and a nice size to pack and bring w/you. Try and look at this book as well.

We too have both editions. There is not a whole lot of difference, but it is more up to date; especially with information about the HRH, which was being built when the earlier edition went to press.

Also, for those who haven't bought Kelly's book "The Other Orlando", it is fabulous, with enough ideas to fill decades of Orlando vacations.

I did forget to mention that the library may have them.

My local library had some of his older books (even the Intrepid Traveler ones), and I asked them to purchase all the new editions, and they did!


So, Kelly, The Tredyffrin PA library has ALL of your books, I made sure of it!

I have both editions of the Universal book, but even the later one is in desperate need of updating (for example, it was written before HRH opened, let alone RPH). Why not an annual revision, Kelly? It would easily be the best Universal book out there if it was kept up to date.
