DDs friend received tickets for her birthday and there was an extra one for a friend. Although DD didn't expect to be the one chosen (many of the girls at the party were asking to go) she was! She came home from dance class Monday walking on air with the news that she had been asked.

She can't wait!

the closest i've gotten to a clay concert...my friend went to the DC show and held up her cellphone the whole time so i could hear it! if only he'd come to indy!!!!!!

Well, I'll post back even though I didn't go. First though...a funny story. A few days ago DD11 mentioned that she had registered here on the DIS. I didn't think anything of it until she said "I posted something about Kelly and Clay!". Well, it turns out that it was this very post and that I responded to my own DD without knowing it was her!

Anyway, she and her friend had a fabulous time. She said Clay was lots of fun, interacting with the audience and talking to someone on an audience members cell phone. He even brought a 5yo girl onstage to sing with him! Kelly was great, she said, although she didn't interact as much with the crowd.

DD came home thrilled and excited and saying that the concert was everything she had hoped it would be. That's good enough for me.

I just got back this morning from the show. It was AMAZING!! My sister touched Clay. I'm going to post more on the Clay thread, so check it out there. I LOVED IT!!!

My sister and her friends are going to see Clay and Kelly this weekend in Winston, NC. They are very excited.

I was at the concert last night and it was excellent. I am not much of a Kelly fan, but she was okay. Like Michelemouse had mentioned, Clay interacted with the audience quite a bit. He seemed so humble about everything too. Just a great concert and I would love to see him again
