About two weeks ago, I ran through and got a code from the Kellogg's site. About a week ago, I ran through again, and got the same code, so that' didn't work. Is anyone getting new codes?

I am Shocked! I was fully sucked into the whole rare kellogg's stuff - I was getting ready to fashion an inferno offer out of nothing but rooms full of skelleton's and such. (joke of course)

Before you go calling it a hoax, check your information. I called Kellogs and the rep confirmed that the vmk promotion ended already and that the site will be torn down soon. they are already aware of the problem.

I checked the facts. The site is still up. It is still giving codes. The codes it gives still work. In my book, that makes the "pirate codes won't work after today" storyline from yesterday a hoax. Besides, the alleged source was just some CL. CLs don't know anything more than you or I do. And when it comes to what is coming in and what is going out, the old adage "those who say don't know and those who know don't say" is usually very true on VMK.

Just because the site is still up doesnt mean anything. Does anyone not remember how late this thing started? Kellogg's said June 25 and it didnt start until I think like july 13. the fact is the promo is over it ended so call kellogs already. the rep said they are aware of the problem and forwarded the info to the IT dept.

I dont know why you are being so sarcastic and rude with me. All I wanted to point out was that this is not a hoax. i was skeptical like everyone but then called kellogs consumer relations today in battlecreek michigan and the rep told me 'the promotion ended yesterday however we are having problems getting the site removed. i will forward it to IT'

This isnt about anything but facts but then I present you facts and a phone number but instead of checking you want to stick to the 'hoax' theory. a delay doesnt mean a hoax and vmk is well known for delays and problems. thanks

celine, the person may have "come off a little rude", but that was probably because of the high and mighty way you went about saying "check your facts" - I took it the same way I am sure the person who responded did. It came off as a "you are stupid" type of reply, whether you meant it that way or not. The way you say things matters as much, if not more than what you say.

Yes I admit saying "check your facts" was too bold but wouldn't you agree it's better to kill with kindness then approach tit-for-tat? I did say check your facts because the poster said "hoax" which means a trick to make people believe something that is false or a scam. I think before you say something so powerful AND dedicate a thread you should research and confirm. anyway thanks king for confirming this and people should be upset with vmk and kellogs not whoever posted the news. i appreciate it because i was getting lazy and thinking 'that site will be there. i will eventually get my codes and rooms' at least we knew rather than wake up one day and the site is gone.

Hoax is alittle harsh....rumour or rumor however you choose to spell it might have been a better choice.


I do beleive that VMK is going to pull this promo and soon it has been running for almost a year and I would think that the contract with Kelloggs like Celine has pointed out has ended.

So I would look to see the Conquer the SEA site and the Magic Pin Codes to quit working very soon.

You can choose to treat this info as a rumor until such a time it becomes a fact.

Well, Kellogs has said the site will be taken down, ok, thats confirmation of that, but, in fact Nanoner had said that "none of the Kellogg's codes will work" - so, has anyone confirmed this with VMK? VMK supplies the codes not Kelloggs and nothing anywhere has said that the codes will all expire, except Nanoner who was told this by some obscure community leader, not a host.
As far as I am concerned "Codes wont work" is a hoax, it is not real, has never been confirmed, noone has had any confirmation from VMK that old codes will not work.
If Nanoner had said "Skull Rock site will be gone tomorrow" then that is not a hoax, because it is supposed to be gone.

as far as kill with kindness... you do realize that at least 50% of the people here are under 18 years old... when, in the last 20 years, have you known a teenager to kill anyone with kindness?

Kellogs did warn me to input my codes because they will no longer work. As usual this is yet another glitch. remember when the codes didnt give rooms? or gave the wrong magic? or when the cereal boxes landed in stores before the promo started? this is just another glitch where vmk forgot to delete the codes and kellogs cant figure out how to tear down the site LOL

mal makes a good point. call it a rumor for pete's sake but hoax and scam is too harsh. take it with a grain of a salt and see what happens. no need to stress out because it isnt a big deal. at least we all have our 1000 rooms ready when it does shut down

The official promotion is long over. Everybody knows that. I don't need to call an 800 number and waste some poor IT guy's time. The fact is that the story relayed by CL whatever it was was a false story, based upon bad facts or inaccurate guesswork. What value is there to ask people to waste the IT guy's time when we can self-verify that the site was not taken down today, and the codes did not stop working today? Sheesh.

I do not think that was the intention of the thread. It was meant with good intentions and may yet to prove true.

However I think this thread has run it's course.

The codes are still working for now and everyone has been warned that may not work soon.

Choose to heed that warning or not that is your decision.
