Keeping your hair dry at the water parks

DW has a concern about keeping her hair (mostly) dry at the water parks. She's wondering which attractions she could visit and keep her head above water. It looks like Summit Plummet would be a cinch. Are there many others?

Out of curiosity can I ask WHY she wants to go to a waterpark and not get her hair wet? :confused3

all I can think of -
lazy river at both waterparks eta: would need to avoid sprays and waterfalls
Teamboat Springs (family raft ride at BB)
bobbing pool at BB

sorry, I don't know enough about the waterslides to give a very helpful answer

I don't know what the OP will say, but I have extremely curly hair and I have bangs, so if it gets wet it gets frizzy and completely messed up, meaning I would have to go back to my room and fix it. However, I would plan for that and probably not fix my hair that morning and wait until after the water park to do anything with it. Just one reason!

As far as keeping head out of the water the lazy river is a good one. It's also very relaxing :)

I actually think Summit Plummet would be guaranteed hair dampening, since you're laying on your back. It's not much water, but your head is going to be right on it. I think pretty much any tube ride would work if you're capable of gracefully exiting your tube while keeping hair above water.

Outside of the Lazy River and wading in the pools I don't think it is possible to keep your hair dry at the water parks.

Summit Plummet you will definitely get your hair wet as when you exit the slide you are surrounded by spray and splash.

I don't think it's possible to do any of the water parks without getting your hair wet.

I always get my hair braided before going to WDW so I don't have to spend the whole trip trying to keep my hair from getting wet.

How the heck do you do that? Every side I go on w/ the tube, when it hits the bottom, I flip over! :rotfl2: My hair is definitley wet on the tube slides. :rotfl:

If you don't mind looking a bit daft wear a swimcap. Otherwise plan to get wet and have fun! Make sure you take shampoo and conditioner and give your hair a good wash when you get out, as OP said there are hairdryers in the changing rooms.

What I usually do is wash my hair well, condition it put some non-frizz stuff on it then brush it through. Twist and put up in a clip, the Florida sun will dry it for me quite quickly!

Really? I always end up still upright and in the tube, but then feel like I have to get out of it quickly and move to the side... and then I can never figure out the best way to hurl myself out. It always ends up being ungraceful... which is why I said, "if you can gracefully exit the tube", LOL.

You may be skinner than I am. I'm pooh sized. :rotfl: Every once in a blue moon I stay upright, so i guess my original statement was not 100% correct. Almost always, thought, it's kerplunk for me! :lmao: I don't mind; my hair is short and straight as a stick, so it just gets slicked back.
