When planning I do my research of course and I save the new tips I learn about, lists, website lists, cut and pastes new info in my Palm software where I keep it all in order by categories, etc. I keep my Disney guide books (old and new), park maps, printouts and stuff from previous years in a cute medium sized box called "Mom's Disney Plans--Touch it and be doomed!" next to my desk at home.

How does everyone else keep track of all of their Disney info, tips, schedules, etc.? I know it can be a lot and it can get messy.

I have a deluxe Passporter that I keep everything in. I have pieces of paper stuck everywhere inside it. The only problem I am having is keeping things more organized. We have 2 trips coming up and everything is mixed together. But I consider that a good problem to have. ::yes::

Hi! I have a red notebook with tons of tips. I also have a pass porter and use highliters for each of us. In the last couple of days I have started trying to make a daily schedule. Just where we will be on which day. Who wants to go on what, where we are eating for which meal. My Disney planning "stuff" is right under the TV so in the evenings I can grab it easily. Ok, Ok,OK, to some it may seem like I am over planning, but! This is my 3rd trip and I have an idea of how much I missed the first 2 times so I want to have my cards in order. :sunny:

Please tell me I have not gone totally mad!!!!!!!

I have the Passporter, but I have found that it's really not much good as far as organizing things until after you have started your trip. It seems like it has a lot of great info to help plan, but you can't really start organizing info until your trip begins. So I created a binder and made sections for each park. Of course I put Disney stickers on everything and I also made a section for park hours, and a section for possible hotels to stay at on the way down. In each of the park sections I have been listing attractions that we want to make sure not to miss, which places accept the Q & C and VKL vouchers that we have purchased, and which days of the week that park has EMH. There is also a folder with pockets in it for each section that I figure I can put menus, brochures, etc... in while we are there, and I also put paper in each section to jot down notes or special things to do for each day that are not park related (such as Disney Quest.) I know, I know...it's basically a Passporter just more involved, but it gives me space to pre-plan and more room to change things if I write it and then we change our minds. I'm such a dork, but I LOVE to organize stuff ;)

I have to keep everything in a tote bag. My DD does not know about the trip I am planning, so I have to be careful not to let her find out. I do have the UG and Passporter in the bag and many additional papers I have printed off. Once this trip is over, I think I'm going to decorate a box for the Disney stuff. I can already tell there will be more trips in our future!

I have to admit, the planning process is so much fun!

My mom and I both keep binders for our upcoming trips. I file away all my vacation info afterwards in our filing cabinet at home.

I also usually start a document on my computer which includes the budget and tentative itinerary for the trip. Anything I think I need, I add there too, likes website addresses or tips on which park which day, etc.

Heck I even have files for vacations we never took...like that spa vacation in Arizona...never made it...maybe some day...:)

When we go on vacation, I transfer all my stuff to mom's file. She packs it and brings it along. She has loaned stuff from her file to others going to Disney too.

Sometimes I think it's all engraved in my brain anyway, why do I need a file??:p
