We bought ours just for WDW from a dollar/discount type store. Maybe $5 and well worth the organization.

Other tips:

Give everyone a box/basket for the top of the dresser or table
One centralized charging station
Put out the next day's clothes the night before

Get everyone into the habit of making sure EVERYTHING is off the beds before you leave the room for the day. Housekeepers are there to clean, not to take things off the beds so anything left there could be rolled up and carted off.

I have one of these, as well as a shoe organizer hanger...they go side by side in the closet. My last trip, two weeks ago, I was with a 21 y/o (dd) and a 20 y/o (dd's bff). There is no way there is enough storage in the drawers for three women!!! I used my portable storage things...left the drawers for the girls!!! Worked just fine.
You can also bring a bin for each person to store their toiletries in...then it can go beneath the vanity area when not in use. Much neater.

We are also a big fan of the collapsible laundry basket And by "we", I mean "me, the mom."

Another little thing that we do that makes the room stay a bit more organized, is to use the table for the "essentials only." We plug the power bar into an adjacent outlet and keep all the chargers (camera batteries, phones, kindles, etc) there so nothing gets left behind. We have one of those collapsible storage cubes on the table to hold all the other important incidentals for the day - magic bands, gum, receipts, car keys, etc. The park bag gets hung on the chair.

This really helps us in getting out the door in the morning since everything is in one place

Another thing that is totally OCD and I just don't care....on our last trip in 2013, we still didn't have smart phones (I think we were one of the last few haha), so I printed up a schedule of park days/ADRs etc and stuck it to the back of the door with magnets. This was, by far, the greatest sanity saver for me - the kiddos knew where we were going each day and what time we needed to be out the door.

I agree about the pants hangers. Swim suits dry much faster hanging in the closet bar area than they do hanging over the tub.

We're staying 12 nights this summer at POFQ. It will be myself, DH and 2 teenagers in 1 room!! I can only imagine the mess in our room in only a few short hours..LOL. Any tips on keeping things organized and easy to find? I'm sure there is not much storage except for the few drawers in the TV stand? I'm thinking of maybe purchasing some collapsible storage cubes to help keep things in order..Any other suggestions?? Thanks

Brave . you . are. How do you do it for 12 days? I've always wanted to, but that room is small! Do you barely go in it or ? I can do this SOLO, not with the kids sadly.

Not sure I can be much help, b/c I usually travel with just my daughter or my daughter and my niece, and for only 3-6 nights. However, I'm a hotel room neat freak.

My daughter and I completely unpack; my niece prefers to live out of her large duffel bag. I make good use of the closet and its shelf/shelves, which are out of sight (not sure if that is the case at the Mods) and of all the drawers; also, the top of the tv cabinet/armoire.

I set up a mini pantry in and around the fridge/coffeemaker; anything food-related goes there.

we put all dirty laundry in the plastic laundry bag provided (or a duffel bag, etc.) on the floor in the closet (I do laundry at least once if we stay 4+ days.)

Also, we drive down and I will often put (non-perishable!) items no longer needed in the car, to get them out of the room. This is usually done during split stays, when we will pack separate bags for each resort.

Suitcases we tend to keep near the sliding glass doors (if any) and they can be used for storage of souvenirs or any items not needed during the trip.

I tend to straighten up the room whenever we get back and before we leave for the parks/pool

Thanks everyone for the tips. It was not my intentions to spend 12 nights in a moderate. Here is what happened.. We are DVC Members and I traded my points to the Disney Collection to spend 18 nights at FW in our new camper. My DH then decided that he did not want to pull the camper the 700 miles. Now I'm stuck using my points in the Disney Collection, which consist of FW campsites, deluxe, or moderate resorts . Once u trade the points to the Disney Collection Resorts they cannot be traded back for a DVC resort. So I was able to trade the campground for 12 nights at POFQ. Unfortunately, I can't use my points now to book a DVC villa. It will be tights but we'll survive and at least we'll be at WDW!!!

First bring less! For a 12'day trip i'd pack clothes for 4 days and do laundry 2x. We do enough resort pool time where laundering doesnt take time away.

I use the bottom drawer as a shoe drawer. Shoes all over the place can turn a room into a disaster.

Top drawer becomes junk drawer: sunglasses, bands, stickers, receipts, paper, wallets, purses, hats , tissue packets, purse stuff and other stuff that clutters and has no spot. Middle drawers we use to put souveniers and other stuff we collect / buy on the way

Clothes we hang as much as possible. Rest we keep in the suitcases, seeing I put our shoes in drawers and who knows what else people put in them ( some use them as laundry baskets). Laundry bag we have hanging( cheap store plastic bag).

Also some resorts have wall pegs. For the kids each got a pool bag. Here we kept all sun screen, goggles, pool toys. Just grab and go. Great are the shopper bags the disney store sells for a few bucks.

1) Pack for half the time and do laundry.
2) Laundry bags. One per person. We use old-fashioned laundry bags - they tend to be the size of a large size pillowcase folded up. Or - a plastic garbage bag for dirty laundry.
3) One centralized charging station AND magicbands. (Bring a powerstrip!)
4) Ask for extra hangers (or bring cheap ones)
5) Centralized pile to deposit all shoes.
6) Find a way to use the drawers that makes sense for your group.
7) Set up rules for what stays on the vanity top and what doesn't when you get there. Maybe each of you can have a bag on the counter - but all your stuff must be in it. Or whatever works for you. But gosh - I hated fights about "space" on the counter top when traveling with my family as a teenager......
8) Have a required clean-up time every three days. Just 15-45 minutes. Everyone participates.

Our length of stay was 4 or 5 days so we had less laundry. I had a dirty laundry area in the room for my teens and they just put their clothes that suitcase that sat open on the floor - I fabreezed that area and their shoes every day. Once during the trip I do laundry. When the suitcase would get filled, I'd grab another one.

I also had a shoe area on the floor of the room and told them to put their shoes there every day. Doing both of these things at least corralled the clothes and shoes clutter.

For bathroom stuff, each teen has their own bathroom travel kit so those were under the sink for the teenagers. My husband and I were the ones who put our stuff on the little shelf above the sink. The rule was the actual sink area had to be kept clear and for the most part it worked.

I also had 3 collapsible cubes for our misc. in our pocket stuff to go into - one for my husband, one for me, one for our son. Our daughter said she didn't need one and she never did. We kept those near the TV.

It all worked well for us.
