Keeping Cool

Already nervous about the heat in September, I have been proactive in planning my defense. I found this marvelous company at www.polarbreezebandanas.com. The premise is you soak the wraps and wear them around your neck to lower your body temperature.
This company responded to all my emails very quickly and my order was sent the day after I paid by Paypal. I can't wait to use them in the heat and I think they'll also be great when I have a migraine!!

I love those! I have a few that we got at Walmart that were more of a patriotic pattern, but they work like a charm and yes, oh so handy with a migraine.

We have the fan that squirts water (Walmart for $5, as apposed to WDW for 16), that was helpful on really hot days in Sept. when we went in Oct we really didn't need it!

We've been everytime of the year, and never found the heat unbearable, including August/September, and this is coming from a northern boy, born and raised.

They used to sell something like that in the parks, I do believe. It was some time ago.

I hope they work well for you Rosie. It get's wicked hot here, so much so that we don't even attempt to go out during certain times of the day in the summer.

I don't much care for things that keep me damp as the humidity makes that unbearable for me. That's why I don't like the mister fans.

Thanks for the link - we're going in late Aug and my dh has MS - MS + heat doesn't mix well so these will come in handy!!

Thanks for the compliment..I'm really liking how easy it is to manage.

I tried the wraps this weekend and I was surprised that they didn't feel wet or clammy and that the next day it still felt cool against my skin.
I know my own self..and I hate being hot...anything I can do to alleviate some of it is ok by me.
