We only have 12 days (or less by the time you read this) left until we arrive at our Home away from Home in WDW.

This trip will be the first trip with an infant and still coming up with new questions.

Here are a couple for y'all:

1. How do you keep your baby (11 months) busy, interested, content while you are at the Magic Kingdom or any of the other parks?

2. What do you do about the sun? Anyone know where to get a sunshade for a stroller? (we've looked and not found any).

3. What about the pool? What do you do to keep baby happy and content for an extended visit to the pool?

All comments and suggestions welcome.

Thanks,

AWTY

We went to Disneyland when 1st ds was 11 months old. Here's what we did

1. You'd be amazed at how well people watching keeps them entertained!! My ds was not into his stroller when we went, but w/ so much going on, he was just happy to watch!

2. We used a beach towel or a lightweight blanket to cover the stroller when ds was napping

3. We didn't do the pool at DL. But this next visit, I'm hoping we'll spend lots of time at SAB!

Just remember to follow baby's lead!

Our 15 month old DD has been to WDW 6 times since she was 11 months old. We have never had to do anything to keep her happy and entertained while in the parks (and she's not an easy baby!) There is so much for her to look at! She does really enjoy the play areas, such as the ones next to the train station in Toontown and Frontierland

Although we do bring a stroller, I find that DD spends most of her time in the sling, since you can't bring a stroller on any of the rides/attractions or pavilions. I use a Totes-style umbrella to keep the sun off of her, as well as sunblock. If she does nap in the stroller, I drape the sling over the canopy and snack tray to keep the sun off of her.

Our DD loves wading pools. She will play in the pool for hours. Some plastic cups (we use yogurt cups) are great entertainment. If your baby isn't walking/cruising, you might want to bring a small inflatable pool, though, because wading pools tend to be 1 foot deep. Another option is to bring a dishpan. We bought one at Big Lots for $1, just to bring to the beach. DD will sit next to it and happily splash and play for a long time.

Have a great trip!

I promise you there is so much stimulation at the parks your baby will be fine in the stroller watching and looking at the sights. Also you can bring the baby on most rides/attractions. Anything without a height restriction. We bought both our kids at 8mo and they went on eveything. Both napped in their strollers with no problem.

I have a Peg Perego stroller and the canopy on it goes almost completely foward to cover the baby almost entirely, so we didn't need/use anything else. I did find this link fo you for a sun shade for a stroller:
http://www.babysunprotection.com/shop/prodView.asp?idproduct=61
We always had a hat and sunscreen on our kids at that age.

I wonder if you are going to spend an extended time at the pool if you could bring a pack n play to the area? They have ones with sunshades and such. Like this: http://store.babycenter.com/product/gear/play_yards_and_bouncers/play_yards_and_portacribs/4470

I'm not sure if they allow this. I just also wonder what you are suppose to do with a baby at the pool other then have them in the pool and in their stroller.

Good luck and have a great time!!!:wave2:
