Keep your Port Arrival forms ready !

I got a little salty cause no one told us to keep out cause it would have to be scanned 400 times and I put it away. The first woman in the first line outside the terminal said to keep it out because it needed to be checked in about 20 feet but that was it.
I'm guessing this is going to eliminate split parties trying to all go in with the earliest PAT.
Your not the only one that got a little salty.

Hows it work with getting dropped off by Disney Transport
If you arrive via DCL transfers your PAT is a moot point.
Yes, not sure what it means if you take the DCL transfers.

No PAT required if taking DCL Transfers from WDW resorts or the MCO Hyatt. If taking DCL Transfers from MCO, you will select a PAT but it is essentially moot with regards to arrival at the port; however your boarding group is tied to your PAT and you may need to wait longer if you have a higher number. You'll be inside, though, not out in the weather.

Same thing happened to us when we sailed out of Vancouver this past July. I usually print it off (and then no one asks for it) and this time I did NOT print it off and had to scramble to find it in my app. Eventually they just looked us up another way (room #??). Anyway, I'm definitely going to go back to printing it off for future cruises. I felt like an idiot trying to pull it up on my phone and not being able to find it quickly enough.

The PAT line part does indeed seem new but I have sailed several times since the restart of cruising and each time I had to show my PAT form and QR code several times along the way. It was the same at PC, Miami and NYC. I just kept the print page with me until I basically got onboard.

Recently, out of NYC, we had our friends who had a later boarding time than us and we just waited with them in the terminal until their boarding number was called. We got onboard about 15 minutes after our Boarding Number was called so not too bad.

In Miami, people seemed to monitor the line themselves. People would arrive and ask others who were already in a line what their PAT was and would go down the line the find the group that matched their PAT. People were very civil about it as the staff in Miami (non DCL) didn't help things AT ALL. If you asked a question they basically shrugged and pointed.

The line-up is new and just another way to tell those who are platinum, "we don't want you". We to have sailed 4 cruises out of PC since the restart and prior once you cleared the cast member right outside the terminal at ground level you could walk past all the 1st timers, silver and gold to the platinum/concierge check in and security station then right up the elevator or escalator. Based on what @Ol Goof said Platinum is now just lined up with everybody else based on PAT.

That pretty much sums it up, but don’t worry you will still feel special because you get a bowl of unripe fruit delivered to your room…because you know there’s no fruit served onboard.

I wasn’t offered fruit, truffles, no platinum gift. I really wanted a back pack cooler as the weather was absolutely gorgeous and wanted to take some waters etc to CC. I called guest services about a platinum gift, she said my water bottle speaker was the platinum gift. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What's a water bottle speaker? I don't even bother to call them back and give them my platinum selection. Sometime during the cruise the a box of bad chocolate shows up. The last cruise I got truffles and a bottle of some blue non-alcoholic drink. I left the bottle in the fridge.

It's always been a selected "port arrival time". That time was connected to the boarding number you got when you actually checked in at the port.
Actually, when it was only the Magic and Wonder, there was no PAT. All of the cruise passengers could fit in the PC terminal. We used to arrive at around 10-10:30am. We were never the first to arrive.

That's because you were on the WISH and they are still doing the "Inaugural Cruises". The water bottle/speaker only went to the Platinum CC Members along with the other "goodies". The coolers were on the Dream and Fantasy, not sure about the Wonder and Magic.

What forms do we need to have on us at the port? Are there any physical forms we must have or Can we just use the QR codes sent to us by Disney after checking in and all that? This is our cruise!

You need your Passport or Birth certificate w/ govt issued photo id and print off the Port Arrival form that you got when completing on-line check in with the QR code printed on it. You only need one per cabin.
