Keep stalking BOG or Trails End?

Tuesday, my husband announced a desire to anniversary in Disney in August without my boys. I was able to get some pretty sweet reservations, but I don't know what to do on our MK night. I like BOG because I like the food and I like a cold beer after a day in the park. However, having stalked a Sci-Fi breakfast continuously for the last month, I am getting a little tired of having to keep checking.

So, I don't want an expensive, signature meal because we will do that on our actual anniversary. I have no interest in going back to Chef Mickeys, Ohanas, or Whispering Canyon. So, I was looking pretty hard at Trails End, because I have never been. I enjoyed sitting on the porch of Trails End waiting for a previous HDDR, so I thought I would give it a try.

We went to Trails End with a last minute ADR last year, and were pleasantly surprised. Food was very good, lots of choice on the buffet. Sounds like a good idea if you've never been. There are also other not-ridiculously expensive options on the monorail, such as Kona Cafe or Grand Floridian Cafe.

Trails End is a great choice. You've been before so you know what you are getting. And that can be a big plus. Be sure to take the boat from the MK dock. I would also second Kona Cafe if you want something new to you. I had a great steak and banana creme brule dessert there last fall. One of my favourite meals of the trip. Raglan Road at downtown disney is another great choice. More atmosphere than Kona. Enjoy whichever one you choose!

Trails End is a great choice, good food and reasonably priced. Hang out after and check out the resort.

Trail's End has very good food. It is very easy to get an ADR there, so you don't have to worry about having to stalk the website.

I posted something similar not to long ago and got lots of great / positive comments about Trails End. Not one person said anything bad about it. Its also our MK day and Im looking forward to the boat ride back and forth to Ft Wilderness

I personally prefer Trails End to BOG.

If we only eat one ts, it's usually Trails End. Great food, relaxed atmosphere and great resort. Get the hot fruit cobbler and put soft serve on top. Delish. If it's your birthday, you will get a big Yee Ha! And a piece of that delicious fresh STRAW BERRY SHORT CAKE!! from the Hoop Dee Do.

We never miss Trail's End. It is a gem.

Its a great last minute option. We decided last trip we needed a real break from the MK so we make the ADR about 4:00PM and headed over about 5:00, an hour later. Easy and relaxing, with really good simple food. There are really a lot of choices just outside of the MK that we enjoy. Another good one is the Wave at the Contemporary.
