On our Animal Kingdom day we plan on doing Rope Drop when the park opens than breakfast at 9:50 at TH with the ROL package than off to tour the park. I was searching for better ADR times for our trip when I found a Yak & Yeti at 4:15pm. Now my question is should I keep this ADR since I was planning on doing QS for dinner that way we're not taking up time doing a TS meal. With this 4:15 ADR would I be able to make it to the ROL show at 6:30, I really don't want to feel rushed.

It depends on whether you want to do ROL with the package or standby. IMHO, 4:15 pm is a better ADR time as it isn't cutting into morning park touring, but you would have to do ROL standby if you book Y&Y.

I'm keeping the 9:50 TH ROL package, just not sure about the 4:15 Y & Y ADR. I'm hoping to ride the Na'vi River Journey before breakfast, than enjoy breakfast before touring the rest of the park.

An alternative would be to do Flame Tree Barbecue for dinner instead. That way you can go at any time and won't feel rushed.

With a 4:15 ADR you'll have no trouble getting to rivers of light on time. As far as Yak and Yeti, you may want to consider signing up for a Landry's card. It costs $25 but you get a $25 credit for your first visit (and another $25 every year on your birthday) so its essentially free. I say this because with the card you get priority seating and can show up at any time without an ADR and be seated right away if you're concerned about the 4:15 time. They also tend to have more reservations available if you call the restaurant directly. They for some reason do not release all their reservations via the Disney site.

Thanks guys. This was all very helpful, I think I'm going to drop this ADR and do quick service for dinner instead.

I think dropping the ADR is reasonable, but if you keep it, you should have not trouble getting out of there in plenty of time to make RoL. We've eaten at Yak and Yeti many times and are usually out in slightly over an hour. Your evening ADR is not at a peak time, so I wouldn't expect a long wait to be seated. With the dining package, you should have not trouble being seated for the show.

You don't say what day you are doing this on. If it is a weekend day, I'd keep the ADR only because AK will be a busy park for the local residents now that the new Pandora land is there. You don't want to be standing in line at QS with a million of your closest friends!

Love Flame tree, though!
