I'm having some trouble making a decision about our 8:10am ADR @ Hollywood & Vine. I have two boys, ages 1 & 3. The one year old has only seen Little Einsteins, but I doubt he'd have a clue. Mickey and Eeyore are a bigger deal for him, and we have those covered. The three year old knows all the characters there but they are by no means "favorites" for him. We have meals set up at Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey, Tusker House breakfast, and Ohana breakfast. Do we really NEED another character meal? I'm reading a lot about how bad that buffet is on here, too. We're paying OOP for all our meals, with TIW. While the price isn't a big issue, I still can't help but wonder if it's really worth it though. Would you just cancel it? Will I regret this one if I do lose it? The thought of getting rid of a character meal is making me feel like a "bad" mom. Help!!

Goodness! That's a lot of character breakfasts! We ate there for the last 2 years. My DS loves the characters and had a lot of fun dancing and visiting with the characters. For us, the food was pretty bad. The selection was just very common, cheap breakfast food. After the first year of bad food, we decided to give it one more chance. Last year was bad too.
My DS loved the characters though. The Little Einsteins and Jo Jo and Goliath were there. Last year we were celebrating my son's birthday, and June brought him a card with all of their autographs. Very Special.
If you decide to go, definately go for the character interaction, and don't expect anything great for breakfast. (The coffee was really good though.)Believe me, you aren't a bad mom just because you miss one character meal. Your kids can see the same characters outside of PlayHouse Disney Live!:thumbsup2

LOL.. Now you made me feel like I have too many! Chef Mickey is actually a dinner so they're not ALL breakfasts. :rotfl: Reading this again, I think I've made up my mind. I'm just going to drop it. Thank you!! :)

I would skip it. The characters lead to overstimulation at meals sometimes. How about a nice small quiet family breakfast at the resort. No rushing, no crankiness, etc. I woud personally find out where a favorite character will be in one of the parks and use the time saved from the breakfast to have a little one on one with the character... And or ride a favorite ride, just one extra time without complaining. Enjoy your trip!
