Keep Baymax !!!!!!

My kid had a Staypuff The Marshmallow Man costume for Halloween once. Ran on batteries and stayed inflated for the entire 6 hours he had it on. I paid $30 for it. I think they could pull of Baymax flaw-free if they really wanted to.

There ya have it:thumbsup2

Ahhh i was hoping they would still be there in August! My son,4, LOVES BH6, well we all do actually lol and i was really hoping he would get a chance to meet Baymax and Hiro :(

We saw Hiro and Baymax last Saturday, 1/17. We were in line for around 45 minutes and they were out the entire time, no breaks. Maybe they figured out how to keep him inflated longer. I was so glad we were able to see them!

From everything I've heard, after Hiro and Baymax leave, they are putting in the characters from the new movie "Inside Out".

Yes because it had a noisy fan running the entire time and didn't have someone hugging him every 5 minutes. :thumbsup2

Correct, but don't you think Disney being the multi-billion dollar entertainment monster that it is can figure out how to keep an inflatable suit inflated for 30 minutes at a time?

It's just another example of boys getting the short end of the stick when it comes to entertainment at WDW. Girls have princesses, tea parties, makeovers, etc and boys have nothing exclusively geared towards them. Now, Baymax and Hiro, popular with boys, are going away. Probably being replaced with yet another princess or princess-themed something or other.

Not a single of the rumors of what could replace Hiro and Baymax at DHS are princesses or even anything girl-skewing.

Until March is all that has been stated. Disney's movies division pays for them until the DVD is released, which is soon, I believe... February 24th: release date.

I think there are a lot of assumptions being made here... instead of it being about Baymax, you have to look at the space.

The location in the Animation Building is utilized by Synergy. As new movies come out, they use that spot to build promotion. The characters have stayed in said spot until the next new movie comes out. If another area (or park) wants to pick up the character, they have that option. Russell and Dug are an example of characters that were later picked up by DAK about a year after they left the Animation Building.

Does it cost more to run Baymax than another character, absolutely, there is more backstage support for him than any other character on property... but in this case that's not why he's leaving. As long as Inside Out is on the docket for this location, then assume Baymax & Hiro get the boot.

Yes, there are times when Synergy finds another home for a character, those are easier to extend because someone else isn't knocking down the door for the spot to open up. But even Rapunzel got the boot when Merida came in. My guess.... Merida will get the boot from Moana.

If baymax is still meeting, wouldn't he show in the Times Guide? We were in DHS this past Sunday (1/25), and we did not even head over to Animatikn to try, because the Times Guide said the Incredibles were meeting there. We just assumed Baymax was done.

No, not necessarily.

Kenny the Pirate reported that Hiro and Baymax were never added to the Times Guide nor to signage at the Animation Building. Sorry you missed them.

I'm really bummed about this. My 4 year old daughter LOVES Baymax and Big Hero 6. It's her favorite Disney movie. She likes the princesses, but I think she really only likes them because she thinks she's supposed to (all her friends go crazy over Elsa and Anna). We are taking our first family trip in October and I was really hoping for something Big Hero 6 to be there.

Another Baymax fan here. My 3 year old is gaga for that guy. Super disappointed we won't be seeing him in Septmember.

It seems like Future World in Epcot would be a good permanent home for them. All about innovation and technology and making the world better. I just adore Baymax. :goodvibes

We saw Hiro and Baymax today -they were great! I had read on Kenny's site that we should line up at or before 10 am for his earliest set (starting at 10:30 am). Great plan - we were there about 9:50 and were the 4th family. Baymax was simply adorable!

I think TPTB are very aware of the character's popularity. But the costume that he wears has had technical problems. As in, they can't seem to keep him inflated for any length of time. Maintenance on the costume has also been problematic. And probably expensive.

When they change "him" out it takes roughly 15 minutes (instead of the usual 5). It makes the line move very slow.

He's a pretty difficult character to pull off is the short answer. Count your blessings--he was supposedly going to last only until this month.

We did get super cute pictures with him though.image (1).jpeg
