Again, we can't thank everyone enough for your thoughts, prayers, and words of support and comfort. The end is very near, it's just a matter of how much fight Dave has left in him. He was talking all day yesterday about finding his mother who passed away 12 years ago.

I got the written report from the MRI that I had done last Saturday, and the MRI revealed that I had have two tears in the cartilage of my right knee, as well as sclerosis forming in the medial compartment, and a ruptured popliteal cyst in the knee. I see my orthopedic surgeon this coming Friday.

With all that is going on, we can still smile and move forward. We believe in a higher power that is taking care of us, each and every day!!!

Andy, my family and I will pray for your recovery and for a good appointment on Friday. You need to get mobile and pain-free prior to your cruise in August, so keep the movement towards recovery. In the meantime, please take good care of yourself so you are strong and healthy for upcoming surgery. Maybe start taking or continue to take the healing vitamins? Also, as someone who just began a slow-paced weight training program, I highly recommend it for getting stronger prior to your surgery. Know you cannot do much with your legs, but maybe the rest? I haven't exercised in years, and I am very surprised by how quickly I am feeling stronger.

God Bless Hazel and your family too at this time. My mother-in-law talked about her father and mother just prior to her passing.

Hello my friends,
I just wanted each and all to know that I received a letter from Andy this morning and the family has all been called in since Dave appears to really be struggling - I also know that the family have all been very moved by the many thoughts and prayers sent on this thread and special letters to Andy and Hazel.
What a family we have here and the group hugssss have been awesome.
Special people that give so much and expect nothing very special in this life is so rare, but found on this board at each turn.
