I am so beyond angry. I've been on the phone for over two hours today. I came back from church today and hopped onto my disney experience. I had a thought about changing one of my FPs that I had scheduled. All eight days of my FPs had disappeared. I called Disney. Fortunately, I did have the foresight to have a print out of what I had on there. However, some of the ones that I had scheduled failed to print.
The internet service guy pretty nice and did all he could to replace what I had.
But obviously, many major rides gone. I would say half of my days totally wrecked. Nothing available and nothing they can do. I am so angry. This is months of work thinking about not criss-crossing the park, times for lunch and dinner, when will the baby be asleep. I asked to be directed to someone else. The lady at guest services was a jerk. Her tone was awful, eye-rolling over the phone. She said there was nothing she could do. I could send an e-mail but they receive thousands of these and I might get a response in two weeks. My trip is in 40 days! I told guest services lady how would she like it if she worked for two weeks and didn't get paid. " Sorry it's a new system and we are all out of funds." or We can give you half of what you were supposed to get". At this moment in time I personally HATE FP+.

SORRY for my long RANT- my question to the Disboards is there anyone to contact for a more immediate response. Nothing was offered as compensation, I got a response of "we've done what we can do for you give you back half of what you started with"

So sorry this happened to you and they weren't able to give you back everything you lost. I have heard others say that they lost their info but went back into MDE later and it was all there. I would have to call guest services and keep asking for a supervisor until you have spoken with someone who gives you some satisfaction. I can't believe their response:confused3.it is totally unacceptable. Giving you:hug:and hope everything turns out for you.
 
THIS is happening way too often still and it's disturbing. I'm so sorry and hope that some of it reappears like a PP said.
 
After reading this I went to check mine. It tells me my password does not match, which is false because my password has worked everyday, several times a day since I booked this trip in February. I tried to reset it it says my email is not in the system.

Has this ever happened to anyone? I am panicking.
 
Wow that is awful!! I would be livid. I hope you can speak to someone who can solve this for you....Its just not acceptable that this can happen and we are all at the mercy of glitches that can ruin everything. If they cant run things at a basic level Ie..things not just disapearing then they should go back to the old fastpass.

This is happening way too often and it is unacceptable. Honestly, OP, if I were you and got that same response, I'd think long and hard about cancelling.

Yes, it happens frequently. It is hopefully nothing more than a glitch for you.

THIS! I'm scared to set up my FP+ and I haven't even gotten them yet.
 
I don't know of another contact, but MDE is always glitchy. I've been trying to do my FP+ and all sorts of weird things have been happening- no FP+, losing a person, losing two people, not being able to make FP+ for certain days, not being able to do it at all for the rest of my vacation and an hour later I could book FP+ for every day....

What was the message you got? I often get the red message that they can't retrieve my FP+ reservations. I just wait a while or reload and they eventually come back up.

I find the time I have to take out of my day dealing with FP+ much more annoying and time consuming, then I ever found going to each ride to collect FP. I get to go through this again in a few days when I have to copy all the FP+ to my husband who doesn't have his ticket yet!

Have you tried that? Try to get the FP+ for one person and then copying over?

Yeah I would just wait a day and check again- they will probably be there

It is beyond inexcusable that Disney has allowed this to go on.

Please let us know if there are any updates.

No other company on the face of the planet would get away with this crap. But Disney is using up an awful lot of the goodwill people have for them.

If Disney is encouraging people to use this system to plan their vacations, it should certainly work. The fact they're getting thousands of phone calls and emails should be taken as some sort of sign that this system is not working as someone thought it would. It sounds like Disney needs to build one whole new system that encompasses room reservations, tickets, dining and FP+. It's rather obvious the existing systems are not playing nicely with each other.

We're still a year+ out, so I am hoping this will all be figured out by then. :rolleyes1
 
Try logging on later or tomorrow. MDE is a stink-burger. :mad: I disappeared from all our FP's and dining reservations a month prior to our trip. The kids and DH were still there, which was weird, since I was the one logging on and doing all the planning. I called Guest Services and was transferred to the IT dept. where I sat on hold for over 30 min. The tech guy was very nice and apologetic. He wasn't sure why I disappeared, but as I was talking to him, I reappeared like magic. He even called it strange, but happy. He hadn't done anything at that point and couldn't explain how or why I was dropped, then why I was back on the reservations. During our trip, the MDE phone app was very glitchy. It frequently asked me to log in, failed to display our plans, and crashed. The first time it happened, I worried our FPs wouldn't work, but we didn't have any problems. I completely gave up on MDE by 10:00 a.m. the 2nd day. Before the trip, I wrote all our FPs and ADRs on an index card and relied on that rather than the MDE app.

Amen to that! The fact that Disney lets this occur and won't reinstate these FPs is insane. When it works, FP+ can really make for a better trip but it seems to not work all too often. This problem is occuring repeatedly. While I'm ranting, I'll also add my dissatisfaction over rides (i.e. 7DMT) being "booked up" 60 days in advance.
 
So sorry this is happening to you. it's pretty awful to have to stress about your FP when you've taken time to reserve everything so far in advance. Not sure if this helps but I've looked on MDE and have seen a message saying that my FP weren't there ( not sure of the exact wording). I logged out and tried again the next day and everything was there.

Perhaps calling back and speaking to a different IT person would do the trick.

I completely gave up on MDE by 10:00 a.m. the 2nd day. Before the trip, I wrote all our FPs and ADRs on an index card and relied on that rather than the MDE app.


I read a good tip, to take screen shots of each day to refer to while in the parks, because MDE app is glitchy. I am not saying you can use screen shots to say you had a FP+ when your bands don't work, you could have screen shotted and then changed them, after all. I am saying just for your own reference, to screen shot each day.

PS I also have to remember to wear a watch at the parks, I hate pulling out my phone just to check the time all day long.
 
I am SOOOO sorry for you, OP. That really sucks - especially after all your hard work and planning. I truly hope you can work it out.:grouphug:
