Ke$ha is totally devoid of talent

While she's pretty talentless in terms of singing (we can't call her COMPLETELY talentless because she might be good at something else), her music is still fun to listen to.

And I've heard/read that she's actually really a straight A student and awkward in real life!, and that she wasn't very popular at school. So it's not like she's actually a drunken *****, she just plays one on TV.

As odd as Lady Gaga is, I actually think she is the exception here. I think she truly has a great voice, is talented musically, and is very creative. It may not be what I like especially, but I can see that there is some sort of talent there.

I love Lady Gaga, but I can't see why she isnt everyone's cup of tea. She does have an amazing voice and she is wonderfully creative. Remember how scandalous Madonnas clothing and songs were in the 80's? Lady Gaga has out Madonna'd Madonna. When Madonna first started, she got famous because she was considered groundbreaking. Not taking anything away from Madge, she is one of the best dancers in the music industry (even now) and has a decent voice. Oh, I loved her so much when I was young. My poor dad had to listen to me constantly playing "Like A Virgin" and I didn't even know what a virgin was and never thought to ask (no mom in the picture so I bet my dad was really expecting me to ask him and he got lucky with that one, lol.)
Kesha is nasty.
I love the parody on Youtube of Tik Tok called "Glitter Puke". It is sooo well done and the girl really looks like Kesha. The lyrics are hysterical.

Ke$ha gets on my nerves like no other singer right now. At first I liked her song Tik Tok but after hearing her others she is just bad.

I do however love Lady GaGa, even though she freaks me out a little. Her voice is amazing and she is very talented.

It is a sad state of things in the music industry where most new artists (like Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift) can not sing their songs live.

I'm not a huuuge fan of Ke$ha, I like maybe 1-2 songs from her because they're entertaining, but nothing more. She's dosen'T have an outstanding voice, nor whe seems to be a good dancer, and her image.... well just watch her videos...

As for the side-subject about Lady Gaga, I do love her, but not because of her voice. Let's face it, she's definetly not well known because of her oustanding voice but because she makes a show everywhere she goes and that she is maybe, a show by herself... Not saying that she doesn't have a great voice! But that's definetly not what I would call an outsanding voice

I completely agree. She is a talentless singer-- I guess the sound of some of her songs may be a bit catchy, but the lyrics are disgustingly trashy.
Lady Gaga does have a great voice-- I remember watching her on the VMA's (that lovely blood thing) and thinking she sang Paparazzi well. Her whole demeanor is ridiculous, though. I'm over the stupid shoes/outfits wherever she goes.

I must confess... "Your Love is My Drug" is on my iPod for the gym; it's got a good beat. Certainly not there for the lyrical talent But the "My First Kiss" nauseates me to no end.

I like her songs, she writes them all herself too. She may not have a great voice but that's just difference of opinion.

Lady Gaga on the other hand, wow, she can sing, write and act! That's what she does, she acts...think about it, she and her team are marketing geniouses. Who wants another Britney, Beyonce, Christina, etc...she's flamboyant, and people love that about her. Hell, she's renting a house in Beverly Hills for $25,000 per month, she must be doing something right.

I would have agreed with you about TS after the music awards performace...she sounded horrid however last month DD and I saw her and I was quite surprised at how much better she sounded.

I like TiK Tok by Keisha and also really like Lady Gaga. I have a lot of her, Gaga, songs on my Ipod for running.

I have yet to really enjoy ANY singer performing at any music award performance. Most of them are held in locations that are not acusticly set up for a musical performance. There have been many a performance ruined by bad feedback or horric static.

DD13 and I like Cali Girls by KP. DH likes it because of the Snoopy factor. We also like the song she does with Timbaland.

I don't think Kesha, Lady Gaga, Katie Perry or Justin Bieber are very good. But, as the music industry shows us, it's not about being a good singer, but a good entertainer. They are all doing something right to gather fans, so it's working for them at this point.

How long it works, will remain to be seen, as music fans are pretty fickle these days.

It's also about what the record companies promote. They promote those that they think the public will like and the public eats up most of what's promoted. Just like in advertising. If it's promoted as something great, usually the masses will fall for it.


I don't even know who Kesha is. But I gave up listening to radio years ago.

Where did this come from - he is a 16 year old teen from a small town who all of a sudden is famous, so I can totally see this happening. He has not been around long enough to realize that if he treats everyone this way (if it even happened), he will not have any fans anyway.

Just because people become famous, it does not mean that they are nice. If you are a jerk while unfamous, chances are, you will still be a jerk, but an even bigger jerk as your narcissism will push you to treat people like crap in order to secure your fame.

Yikes! Do you really believe it happened? If it did, I feel so badly for that person, but not because he is famous, but because it seems to have really hurt her self esteem. That's the problem with celebrity though. Take a look at her post - she said she felt beautiful, and thought Justin Bieber would too. Ummm....Justin Bieber doesn't care who she is, and really would have no interest in how she looks. It's a post written by someone who actually thinks the celebrity is thinking about her. That's even sadder to me than the insult he gave her...
