Wednesday 6th November 2002 Day Fourteen
We went back to MGM today for our last go at Who wants to be a Millionaire This time DH got to number one on the leader board but it was at the end of the show so we were not happy bunnys Next year DH will be in the hot seat!
We spent some time soaking up the atmosphere and not rushing about, I like doing this on out last days, We did a bit more shopping and I got a giant Pooh cushion with a Pyjama pouch. We got the boat back to the boardwalk and put my shopping in the room before heading back to Epcot.
We wanted to see a Culinary Demo at the Food and Wine Festival, so we stopped by the 5.30pm show, which had Christine Weissman from the Contemporary Resort. She made Roasted Red Skin Potato Salad with Basil Pesto it was very nice they had paired it with a lovely chardonnay. It was gorgeous for our dinner.
It started to get a bit chilly, we were going to stay to see Illuminations but decided against it. We went back to the Boardwalk and got a jumper and headed out to DTD. In search of a lovely Hot Fudge Sundae at Ghirardellis.
I love the atmosphere in the evenings at DTD. After a little bit more shopping we headed back to the Boardwalk.
Thursday 7th November 2002 Day Fifteen
Our last day Boo Hoo. We packed up the night before so only had a few things to do. We called Bell Services who would store our luggage until we needed it in the afternoon. We headed out to Magic Kingdom for one last time. We went on Buzz and then finally brought our cards with whatever we were on them. We gave Mike a call who came down to meet us and gave us our copy of the picture we had taken on Tuesday and said our goodbyes to him and if we didnt see him in England next year we would definitely see him in October. At lunchtime we headed back to the Yacht and Beach Club and stopped off for lunch at Beaches and Cream. I do like the atmosphere in here, we still didnt manage a sundae though! We walked through to the Yacht Club Galley to say our good byes to Di.
When we left the Yacht club they had their Christmas decorations up! There was a wedding going on outside. So I sneeked a peek, the reception was at the Marina, there was a walk way past, so we strolled past and walked around the lake back to the Boardwalk. We had an ice cream from Sea Shore Sweets and sat on the Boardwalk for a little while. Soon it was nearly time to go, we went up to the lobby and popped in the show to get my DVC T-shirt and soon enough Tiffany Town Car were there to pick us up. We checked in as soon as we arrived and had a quick look through the shops. Soon it was time for our flight to Washington then on to Heathrow. Alan got a search at security in Orlando and Washington, he must have been looking pretty dodgy.
Friday 8th November 2002 Day Sixteen
We landed back at Heathrow in the morning and had no trouble getting our car and starting our journey home. Until we ended up in a four-hour traffic jam on the M4!!!!! By the evening we were home with our kitties they loved there presents. Now planning next years trip!
