Sunday December 16, 2001
Up at around 8:00 and Danny and I went to Tubbis for breakfast. I finally got a krispe kreme but it was actually too sweet. Met everyone at 10:00 in Epcot, another bright sunny day. Really strange walking through the lands when nothing is open and absolutely no one is there. Went to spaceship earth first and called our neighbor Steve from one of the phones where you can all go in a booth and make different noises.

Then over to Honey I shrunk the Audience. Meagan cheated and picked up her feet. Tried to make a CD but it broke down twice. The ride was closed – hope they are bringing back figment. The funniest thing is Johnna – never ever seeing Figment – just had to have a stuffed figment doll! Jamie, Lisa and kids went over to food rocks and mom and dad went off on there own. We all met up at the land for lunch. Test Track wasn’t running and fast pass was for 5:00 so we went off to do the countries.

Did the Mexico ride and walked around and played the drums in Africa. Jaime got a cool hat and Meagan and I got matching bracelets. Over to Germany for shots of Jagermister and a Becks. (uuggh) Toast Bob, Tracy and her mom. They all went off and Danny and I went to the Disney Vacation Club presentation. They picked us up in a van and we saw behind the scenes of Epcot. We saw the drums for Tapestry of Dreams and the Globe form Illuminations.

Over to the Boardwalk for about 1 ½ hours. Just talked about the program and pricing etc. Beautiful rooms. We are interested but really need to look into it more. Back to the room at about 5:30 for quick showers (we originally wanted to take naps today!) and we are out the door again for Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party.

Just missed the first bus but we were in the agates at 7:00 and we all meet up right away. Went and did Buzz then Space Mountain - Bryce did the front - they loved it and did it again. Teacups, dumbo (my first time) and Pooh. Then over for the fireworks and Ruldolph. I love when the fireworks go off all around. Fight through the crowds over to adventureland – do Alladin (really cute, the camel spit and me and mom!) and then the Jungle ride. This ride is definitely better in the dark.

Got our cookies and hot chocolate and off to parade for 10:45. Ate at pecos bills, chilli fries this late at night probably wasn’t a good idea. Wonderful parade and Johnna loved it. Tried to get our photo taken but the area we went to was already closed. Danny wasn’t feeling well so he went back to the hotel. We then did Big Thunder Mountain (I think this is my favorite) and then the Haunted House and then it was 12:00 am. Watched a little bit of the show and then left. Fun night and I was home and in bed by 1:20 am!

and that was not a good idea either......he was ill that morning......rofl.......hope some time to be able to see Disney with all the xmas decorations up......thanks so much again for a great birthday report

Thanks for sharing another day with us.

Are they still offering Boardwalk DVC or were they presenting other properties?

Loving reading your reports coz our trip overlapped yours by a couple of days and we were at MVMCP the same time! We also saw the second parade - DD and I were the two nutcases sitting on the rockers outside LTT with Pooh and Minnie Christmas Hats on! Glad you had such a great birthday trip!

Misti - they are offering the Wilderness Lodge property. It was funny because the presentation is at the boardwalk so of course you get to see those roomes. I said I'd love to see what the Wilderness ones looked like and they had a room set up at the Boardwalk to look like the WIlderness rooms. Similar setup but the colors are much darker and richer. Very pretty still! We ended up deciding not to do it
