It is corsetted so makes me go super skinny
I tried on pretty much every style going, but this was THE ONE!!!

Fly out in 3 more sleeps for PS..... so will be back in touch soon xxx

So I'm in orlando!!! But flying back to uk today :( its been a busy 3 days. The planning session was amazing!!! I will do a full trip report when I'm home x

What a beautiful bridal shop! I wish I had something like that here. Can't wait to hear all about your PS trip!

Fantastic start to your report Kathryn, your wedding sounds dreamy! Absolutely amazing!

Ooh, and we have the same FG dresses!!!

DAY 1

So I left my man & beautiful pug asleep in bed and got collected by our driver to go up to Gatwick Airport at 6am.

049.jpg

When we got to the airport we had some breakfast (always the best start to a holiday) and did some pre flight shopping @ Jo Malone :)

055.jpg

When we arrived at Orlando I was not impressed by the 1.5hr queue at Immigration... This was not on the schedual!!!! :rolleyes1

We checked into our hotel Hyatt Grand Cypress on Lake Buena Vista ... which was beautiful and got a lovely glass of champagne at check in.

080.jpg

We then freshened up and headed to DTD where we did some shopping and a bite to eat at the Earl of Sandwich. I had never eaten here before and loved it.. Very tasty!! We were so tired by about 9pm (2am english time) we headed back to the hotel and went to bed.

Next up.... Planning session

Planning session Day 2

We got up about 6am, and the got ready to go down to breakfast at 7am.

082.jpg

088.jpg

We then headed over to Franck's for 8.30 as we were meeting Rev Tim.
If anyone has him.. he is great!!! such a lovely, welcoming man. He had lots of funny stories to share with us, and kept us well entertained until 9am when we met our wonderful planner Carol Mikles!!!

She is absolutly lovely :)

136.jpg

143.jpg

105.jpg

107.jpg

We went over the timeline of the day, photography, transportation etc... and then it was the cake tasting!!!

108.jpg

We decided to go for a 4 tier cake...

1st & 3rd layer Almond sponge, white chocolate filling
2nd & 4th layer Marble sponge, butter cream filling

The cake is going to look like this but will have ivory roses as the cake topper instead.

104.jpg

Elizabeth is our floral planner and again is fabulous!!! We went over my flowers... which will be large open ivory roses with mini cala lilies with crystal, the same for the bridesmaids.

We are having ivory petals down the aisle, no aisle runner. We are having 2 large arrangements either side of the alter and floating candles at the end of each pew. We are having a petal canon for our staged exit  We then went over the floral for our reception & desert party.
We are having navy satin table linen with a crushed romance champagne table runner.

119.jpg

We are having white choc mickey name cards

115.jpg

We then headed over to the wedding pavilion, to meet the organist!!! OMG he was amazing. It made me feel all funny inside when he played the feather song from forest gump. I will be walking down the aisle to this... It was soooo beautiful. my mum started crying

Here is some pics of the new landscaping by the WP you cannot tell there is contruction going on behind. They have done a fantastic job!!!

124.jpg

126.jpg

The Planning session ended early (partly because im overly organised) so we headed over to DTD to kill some time before the menu tasting.

Next up DTD & Menu Tasting

Planning session part 2...

So we had 3 hours to kill before our menu tasting so we headed to DTD. We had a little mooch around the shops and the had a cocktail and shared an appetiser of bruchetta in TREX (ilove it there)

165.jpg

173.jpg

175.jpg

My lovely mum ....

172.jpg

We then headed back to meet Carol at Franck's and she then drove us to the backstage kitchen at Epcot.

The Kitchen was buzzing and in the middle there was a table layed out for us. Our waiter was Tj and the chefs were Judy & Jeffery. They will be our chefs on the day as well. Judy was telling me that when she does a tasting she writed the wedding date on the calender so she knows to work that day!! she was lovely and really made me feel special.

194.jpg

180.jpg

204.jpg

Our Appetiser is Mint lamb lolichops with a watermelon slaw... this was so so yummy...

184.jpg

Our salad... Field greens with seseme & ginger dressing

187.jpg

Our choice of mains

Beef fillet with red wine demi & dephaunise potatos. This was AMAZING

190.jpg

Chicken with an orange shallot sauce... I didnt like the sauce it was very strong so on the wedding day it will be a white cream sauce.

191.jpg

Mahi Mahi with Orzo... I loved this it was very tasty. The capers gave a really good flavor but I didnt like having them on my plate. So Judy will make the sauce with the capers then drain them out.

193.jpg

I was so sad when it was all over.... I had looked forward to my PS for so long. Judy & Jeffery gave us a Minni & Mickey choclate each as a wedding gift.

203.jpg

We then headed over to Paradise Palms (where all our villas are in September) & I met with the general manager to arrange a welcome pool party.

Next up.... Harry Potter (islands of adventure) and the end of our trip :sad2:

Day 3

We got up early and went over to Islands of adventure. It was so so quiet there was no queues litterally 5 mins for everything!!! So we had done everything we wanted by 1pm :rotfl:

We headed over to the Mall @ Millenia and had a mani/pedi @ Millenia Nails and Day spa and did a bit of shopping. We then had dinner at the cheesecake factory and then went over to Florida Mall.

By then we were all shopped out and my feet were killing me. We headed back to the hotel about 9 and chilled..

Day 4 LAST DAY :scared1:

We had a lie in ... we needed it and then went for breakfast. We checked out about 12 and headed over to the boardwalk.

I went into the Wyland Gallery!! I go here everytime and always want to buy so much. My parents have a few of Wylands sculptures (being diving fans).

354.jpg

Well any way I bought a beautiful piece, I would NEVER & i mean NEVER usually spend so much money on one thing but I was in love

338.jpg

339.jpg

and even better.... The artist will be at the gallery next weekend. So he is going to personalise it for us. He will paint in a 'K & J' on the dock to make it look like it had been carved in.... He will also dedicate it on the back to our wedding and we will be sent pictures of him doing this :rotfl: We will proboly recieve it in the next 3 months.

We then headed over to the airport and flew home.... and today I was back at work with major major post planning blues!!! Im very sad its all over. Im so worried how i will feel after the wedding!!!

Hope you all enjoy my PS trip report, it was a bit quick though

I hope some of my pics helped some of you!!!

HI...

I anted to post all my costs etc.... because when I first began trying to get prices together et.... there wasn't alot of people that posted their BEO so it was quite difficult to put together a rough cost... So I hope this helps.

At the DP we are offering:

Hand dipped Vanilla Ice Cream with a sundae bar
Mini & Mickey cupcakes
Mickey rice krispy heads
Chocolate eclaires
Cheesecake
Fruit Tarts.... so I think the $30pp is well worth it!!!

We are carrying through the hosted bar for our guests as well... but for the desert party down grading it to call brands... as I think people wont know what they are drinking by then :rotfl2:

Kathryn: I found your PJ through the link on DisBrides Facebook and your plans look really great. The dress shop is so adorable and I love your dress. That Wyland picture is so cool, especially that he will do so much to personalize it. Your food all sounds so delicious. I was practically drooling at the photos! lol I can't wait to read more. :)

Everything looks so great!! The food looks delish!! Sounds like you had a great few days in FL! Are you within your budget? Are you looking to change anything? Everything sounds so gorgeous! :goodvibes

Thanks ladies!!!

My budget was $30000 (for just the actual day) and at the moment its coming in at $37000. So I had a chat with my mum and she really is the best and said not to worry.
Really looking forward to it all now... Touch wood everything is going smoothly, and to plan. DF isn't talking to his fam at the mo over the wedding - they are all coming still tho , but I'm almost there building back those bridges. Fingers crossed! Xxx

Found your PJ from Facebook! :goodvibes I'm trying to make more of an effort on the boards when I can. Your dress is really pretty, I love it, and how cool was that, having the dress shop all to yourself. Planning session looks like it was great and that painting you bought, too cute!! I love it! And I have to say that pug is too dang adorable!! It will be hard to leave that sad, cute face for 3 weeks. Thanks for posting your BEO, I've done loads of research and pretty much have my budget set I think, but it can't hurt to check for updates as the prices evolve at Disney. I hope I can be as prepared as you for the planning session so all those hours and days of researching BEO's can pay off! :lmao:

I found it so hard in the beginning planning staged to get a rough idea of cost together.... so I hope it helps others by getting to see a rough estimate of costs x

I love how you posted your BEO :)

By the way...I'm in love with the picture you bought as well!!!
