This is the first time I have written a trip report so please bear with me!! :)

We have loads of photos so I will add these when they are all downloaded.

Ok here goes!

Some introductions!

Kathryn - compulsive planner 3rd trip

Colin (DB) - photographer! 3rd trip

Andrew (our foster brother) 11 years old and has learning difficulties. 2nd trip.

Tuesday 12th July - Departure Day

We left home early to get to Glasgow airport, a bit too early we though! But as my Dad was dropping us off and needed to get to work we didn't complain too loudly! Luckily for us we were able to check in right away! (6.30am! The flight was at 10am!) We were flying with Flyglobespan and my parents had upgraded us to business class. After reading reviews on here and other boards I was really nervous about flying with them but the service was good!

We checked into the business class lounge in the airport and it was great! Comfy seats, snacks, drinks and internet access!! :surfweb: I would reccommend booking into the lounge it made the time pass so much quicker. Our flight was delayed by 1 hour! The plane was one that had been leased from NEOS.

Andrew enjoying the airport lounge!

We got ourselves settled on the plane and we had plenty leg room. We had a stop in Belfast and then we were on our way. The films on the plane were not great, The Reef and Mrs Doubtfire. We were given small personal tv set things that had different programmes like Little Britain, Dr Who and kids programmes and some games. The first set I was given didn't work but I was given another one.

The food was ok and we were able to get drinks as often as we wanted! I stuck to cola!! We didn't get much sleep on the plane, too excited!

When we arrived we got through immigration quite quickly, there was quite a que when we arrived but it soon moved along. Our luggage was on the belt when we got passed immigration.

We had booked a van with FL Tours, excellent service and I would highly recommend them! We stopped at Publix for our grocery stop and stocked up on juice and snacks. popcorn:: We were on the dining plan so we knew we would not need much! Then we were on our way to All Star Music.:cool1:

Check In was quick and we were given our room keys. We had booked a family suite and it was excellent, especially the two bathrooms! It was also good having a fridge! :thumbsup2 Our room was in Jazz building 9 room 9516. It took a few minutes to walk to melody hall and we were very close to both the pools. We unpacked our stuff then went to buy refillable mugs and have dinner!

We were all really tired and decided we would go back to the room, watch TV and get some sleep! I think we lasted half an hour and needed to get to sleep!! :)

Up next: Day One at Magic Kingdom.

Excellent start Kathryn for your first trippie.

Sounds as though you had a smooth journey ~ Looking forward to reading more.

waiting to hear more looking forward to the photos being added hopefully we won't have to wait too long

Wednesday 11th July - Magic Kingdom

We were up very early on our first day. Colin had woken up every hour on the hour! At 6am we decided we should just get up!! We had booked an early ADR at Crystal Palace (8am), so we made our way over to Magic Kingdom. It was a great feeling seeing the castle for the first time from the bus, made me feel like we are really there!!

We had to wait for a short time outside the main entrance!

We made our way down Main St, its great being able to get photos with hardly anyone else in the street!

While we were waiting to be seated we noticed a lot of people looking at the garden area near the restaurant and here is why...

11-07-200712-00-38_0022.jpg

they are so cute!

Breakfast was really good. I recommend the puffed french toast and breakfast pizza, Andrew loved the breakfast lasanga and Colin loved the bacon ( a trend you might see forming!!) The character interaction was very good and as we were almost 1st into the restaurant we were able to see all the characters quite quickly.

After breakfast we headed for Fantasy land and Fontier Land and we were able to ride all the rides with the shortest wait time! my favourite was Disney's Philharmagic! Love it! We also went on Big Thunder Mountain and into the Enchanted Tiki Room, these were new things for us. Andrew was too young last trip to go on any rollercoasters but this time he was on them all.

We had dole whip floats as a snack, they were great! Colin got soft serve vanilla ate that then finished my dole whip float! We couldn't get a photo as they melted so quickly!

We went back to the hotel for a rest, it was very very hot and then decided to go to DTD. We found the best use for our snack credits at Goofy's Candy Company, here are own creations!

I had the marshmallows dipped in milk chocolate, rolled in sprinkles and drizzled with white chocolate. YUM!! Ate most of it over two days and kept the straw for my refillable mug!

I also bought a pair of disney crocs today! I know very sad!! Colin just shook his head when I said I wanted a pair!! I admit I thought they looked a bit like clown shoes but they were the comfiest shoes I have ever worn!!!! And I was on holiday so I didn't really care!

Dinner at the resort food court and then a restful evening, we were tired!:rotfl:

Next Up - MGM Studios

Great start, looking forward to reading more, love the photos as well:thumbsup2

great start even better now that theres photos

Thursday 12th July - MGM Studios

We were up early again, although not after a great nights sleep. At 2am we received two crank calls to our room! I got a real fright, Colin thought it was the wake up call and Andrew (luckily) slept through it all. The first call nobody said anything and then we hung up, 5 mins later they phoned again! We decided that if they phoned again we would ring the front desk and see what they could do. However, they didn't call back. I can't believe people do that but we didn't let it worry us!

After the real wake up call!! :goodvibes We ate breakfast in the room and made our way to MGM.

We watched the opening ceremony which was really funny and went to Rockin Rollercoaster. We were a bit worried about Andrew but he loved this! Then we went to Tower of Terror, this was the ride Andrew had been talking about for months and he really enjoyed it. We even bought the photo cause he looked so funny! Then we went to the great movie ride and the Muppets show. We were able to get on all the attractions with only about a 10 minute wait time.

12-07-200702-54-31_0183.jpg

We had a snack of some frozen lemonades and watched the dream team playing with hula hoops.

12-07-200704-15-56_0185.jpg

For lunch we went to Kona Cafe, the food was good but we felt the service wasn't. Our server barely spoke to us and rarely came back to our table except to bring the bill. I was a bit disappointed but we all really enjoyed the food! I loved the Kona Cone!

12-07-200706-51-26_0202.jpg

We went back to the hotel for a quick rest and then decided to go to Magic Kingdom in the evening. We went on the Stitch ride, not really that great in my opinion and I wouldn't go on it again. Then we went on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. I love this but Colin still got more points than me! :sad2:

We went to Pinocchio Village Haus for dinner. Try the figaro fries they are great, I could have just ate these but Andrew and I shared a panini and Colin had chicken strips (yes, again!). We took the desserts back to the hotel but we never got a chance to eat them!

Great report so far. Just loved the photos of the sweet things at the shop at DTD and have to go there when we go next month.

Looking forward to reading more

Friday 13th July

Today we had the Mickey's Magical Milestones tour at Magic Kingdom. We arrived at Magic Kingdom at 8.15am and we were let in! We signed in at City Hall and got nice badges to wear. We sat outside and took some photos and video of the castle. We were able to see part of the opening ceremony and watched the characters coming down from the railway station.

We started the tour at 9am and went round Magic Kingdom learning things about Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney. I didn't really enjoy the tour much! It was interesting but I felt that we didn't do much. I prefered the family magic tour. We were able to visit Mickey's house before toon town opened and went to meet Mickey in the judges tent. Oh, before we got to toon town we were on the train and we had to draw our own picture of Mickey and then show it to all the others on the tour:scared1: Mine wasn't the greatest!!:rotfl:

After being in toon town we went into Philharmagic to look for the hidden mickeys. At the end of the tour we were given Mickey Ears with our names written on them!

Here are some photos of the tour.

After the tour we wandered through the shops in Main St before having lunch at Tony's Town Square. Although I had read many negative reviews about this place we really enjoyed this and would definately go back!

The smoothies were excellent!

Strawberry

We then took the monorail to the transportation and ticket centre and got a taxi to Walmart.

That night we went to Hoop De Doo Review (7pm show). This was the best show ever, we had a great time! We were very near the stage but not too close! The show was very funny and we would highly recommend people see this! We even bought the photo they took at the begining! (Will try and scan in!!)

Here are some other photos.
