Tuesday 12th July - Departure Day
We left home early to get to Glasgow airport, a bit too early we though! But as my Dad was dropping us off and needed to get to work we didn't complain too loudly! Luckily for us we were able to check in right away! (6.30am! The flight was at 10am!) We were flying with Flyglobespan and my parents had upgraded us to business class. After reading reviews on here and other boards I was really nervous about flying with them but the service was good!
We checked into the business class lounge in the airport and it was great! Comfy seats, snacks, drinks and internet access!!
I would reccommend booking into the lounge it made the time pass so much quicker. Our flight was delayed by 1 hour! The plane was one that had been leased from NEOS.
Andrew enjoying the airport lounge!
We got ourselves settled on the plane and we had plenty leg room. We had a stop in Belfast and then we were on our way. The films on the plane were not great, The Reef and Mrs Doubtfire. We were given small personal tv set things that had different programmes like Little Britain, Dr Who and kids programmes and some games. The first set I was given didn't work but I was given another one.
The food was ok and we were able to get drinks as often as we wanted! I stuck to cola!! We didn't get much sleep on the plane, too excited!
When we arrived we got through immigration quite quickly, there was quite a que when we arrived but it soon moved along. Our luggage was on the belt when we got passed immigration.
We had booked a van with FL Tours, excellent service and I would highly recommend them! We stopped at Publix for our grocery stop and stocked up on juice and snacks.
We were on the dining plan so we knew we would not need much! Then we were on our way to All Star Music.
Check In was quick and we were given our room keys. We had booked a family suite and it was excellent, especially the two bathrooms! It was also good having a fridge!
Our room was in Jazz building 9 room 9516. It took a few minutes to walk to melody hall and we were very close to both the pools. We unpacked our stuff then went to buy refillable mugs and have dinner!
We were all really tired and decided we would go back to the room, watch TV and get some sleep! I think we lasted half an hour and needed to get to sleep!!
Up next: Day One at Magic Kingdom.
