Maybe if they don't mention the kids, people will forget they are also working on the show and deserve a salary and that they were not paid before.

From the article:

"Jon Gosselin has told the media he is working on some business deals, but his primary job appears to be looking after his eight children when Kate is not around."


And what is wrong with that? Doesn't someone have to care for the kids? I guess it's better and to be a paid helper than the actual parent taking care of children. And he is paid by TLC for selling the kids back and keeping quiet.

Please do keep us posted on the legislation, that truly is the good that may come out of Gosselin 8 giving up their privacy to earn for their parents.

and speaking of the show, Discovery Health was showing a rerun of JK8. The episode about Jon's appearance (I think that's the one?). Makes me wonder if they have worked something out where Jon gets residuals of that. and I can't help but wonder why they'd even show it.

I know, she is not a regular actress, or on the actor's guild etc., but every television station, that has "reality shows" make the same amount of money from advertisers, and they hardly pay the people on the shows, and pocket all the money. $250,000 is sure a lot better than the $30,000 her and Jon and the kids used to get.

I think they are the same company. Discovery had the first J & K episodes.

I don't think (although I may be wrong) that the kids were there for a show. I thought they were just visiting their mom when she was on DWTS. But if they did tape it, I'd love to see it! Anyone know if they taped it for the show?

We are excited about visiting DL. We are cruising first and decided that since we are on the west coast, we won't let the oportunity pass us. I don't care if it's smaller..we just want to see it!

also...Quintuplets by Surprise is beginning...another mulitlples series. IIRC, that family has fallen on hard times due to construction industry collapse when their special was filmed. I am not surprised that it will be a series. Dad seemed really down that he has 5 children. I'm not fond of some of the statements he made. One day his kids will see it and might wonder why they were ever born. His statements out of stress sounded that bad.

Monday, the 30th-darn, I've been watching The American Pickers. Sounds gross, but it is a fun show, and the 2 guys were in my area a few times. It's shocking how people have old barns full of stuff, old stores, these guys are making a ton more money off their picks, then they admit too. Don't know if K8 will win out.

I am beginning to think that her 15 minutes of fame are just about over. I don't know why, but I just don't hear that much about her anymore, I have completely lost interest in her and after a break I actually watched her rerun the other night and I just couldn't believe that this woman was still around.

I guess I should be glad that she finally got her kids to NYC, because not too terrible long ago she was complaining that her kids would be so disappointed that they couldn't go because TLC wasn't allowed to film them.

Read in the news today that TLC has signed on a new family of sextuplets - Latino, I believe - that will focus on how they manage their family within a "budget"..

I think they have been signed on for at least 8 episodes - if not more (maybe to see if they develop a following?)..

Could be that TLC is finding that people aren't that interested in Kate Plus Eight anymore - or they never know when to watch it because they're doing such a poor job of advertising this time around..

Kate definitely seems to be fading from the limelight.. As long as she's saving all that money she's making now though (along with what she should have been saving all along), I think she'll be fine - financially.. "Ego" wise is an entirely different matter..
