I think Karma is misunderstood. It's basic cause and effect. Experiencing the consequences of your actions. Generally, positive action reaps positive reward. Negative action causes problems. IMO

Big believer in it...well, 'karma" is the name given, I believe in it as an overall way of thinking /living. I cannot tell you how many times a decision/choice has been conciensly made by family and friends opposite what I would have done, and yep, it comes back to haunt them. Not that I am immune, no way, but I try to keep "karma" in mind.

I think that Karma has a way of payback. Especially if you did something bad, then Karma gets you with bad stuff. Perhaps the same goes for doing something good....

What goes around, comes around. If it's too slow in coming around, I sometimes give it a push. :rotfl2:

Is your name Earl????:lmao:

I agree with Diva. I didn't respond to the poll because it is my belief that no matter how many "good acts" you do, if you continue to live in a negative world, speak negatively, act negatively, think negatively, you will continue have bad results until you change your attitude and keep it changed.

When good things happen to good people, or bad things happen to bad people, you call it "karma". When good things happen to bad people, or bad things happen to good people, you call it "unfortunate". So basically, in a secular context, "karma" is just a label for the roughly 50% of the times when things go the way you would like them to go.

According to the Law of Attraction, there is no such thing as bad things happening to good people and good things happening to bad people. Everyone gets what they attract.

IOW if I want to improve my situation, I need to first work on improving myself - not those around me. If I spend my days focusing on and talking about how bad things are, how rotten everyone else is and how bad I think things will get, I shouldn't be surprised when I get more bad things happening, rotten people coming into my life and bad future experiences happening to me.

I guess that pretty much refutes the so-called Law of Attraction! :rotfl:

I think to say that when some idiot rams into me with their car, for example, it's karma because of some "bad" thing I did is just ridiculous. There are such things as random events.

As for reaping what you sow, I do believe in that, but more as a final judgment. Can't really discuss that now, can we? :goodvibes

nope, rotten people often are wealthy and live a long time

I don't believe in Karma, the Law of Attraction, or whatever the phrase du jour is.

Stuff happens. There's no rhyme or reason to it. I've seen awful things happen to good people, and good things happen to horrible people.

No, I don't believe in karma.

.

How does the Law of Attraction explain a newborn baby with a life threatening condition? Or heaven forbid a toddler that is raped by an adult? Does the Law of Attraction imply that the toddler did something to deserve it? I'm asking this honestly, because I've never heard of the Law of Attraction and it doesn't make sense to me.

As for karma, I don't know if it's real, but I hope so.
