Kareoke Help- Please

I know that this isn't really the place for a Karaoke question but you guys are always so helpful.

Is it possible to download and burn Karaoke CD's with graphics (CD-G's)?

My DD9 wants a Karaoke machine for Christmas and I have begun the search for CD's. Just like regular CD's, most Karaoke CD's have a few songs that she would want and then a bunch that she wouldn't or even worse a few good songs and then several that would be Completely inappropriate for a nine year old.

I guess that the budget part of this question comes in from the standpoint that I don't want to spend a fortune on CD's to get enough songs that she would use. Downloading would be more economical if it is possible.

There are a few Internet sites- that will let you choose 20 songs and they will burn the cd+g disc and send it to you. But a regular cd burner won't work with the cd+g format.

If you do a google search, you'll find a number of sites that have karaoke files to download for about the same price as a regular music download. The problem will be transferring those files to disk. Most CD-burners do not support CD+G files. If yours doesn't and you do not have the supporting software to make the burn (like Nero, or CloneCD), then it may be cheaper to just buy the already-made karaoke disks rather than investing in the equipment and attempting to make your own.

I got my dd 11 some Cds at Walmart, They were lizzie Mcguire and and other songs froms all On the disney channel . If you have a media play store the sell used cds.

Target has quite a few that are $10 and under. I know what you mean about inappropriate songs....there's just something about seeing the lyrics in print that's shocking. I had NO IDEA that the Grease soundtrack would cause problems til my DD9 was belting out the words to Sandra Dee and Greased Lightning.
