Lily, where are you?

It was a cool, rainy day when I left Boston. I was glad to be heading South for a week in the Florida sunshine. My Jetblue fligbt left Boston about 30 minutes late, but we made up some time in the air, and landed about ten minutes late.

My FL Tours towncar was waiting for me when I got to baggage claim. My bag was one of the first ones off the plane, and after making a quick grocery stop, we were on our way to the Dolphin, where I would be spending my first night.

I met Tiger Lily 03, who would be joining me for four nights, in the lobby of the Dolphin. I was told there was a package waiting for me, but what that package could be remains a mystery, as the package was never located. So if some nice DISer left me a package, please let me know what it is because I never got it.

We had room 7027. Our room overlooked Epcot, and Jellyrolls. Someone must have known what my favorite place is, and assigned my room accordingly. I really liked my room, and the heavenly bed sure did live up to it's name. We didn't really have time to enjoy the resort, as we only spent about 15 hours there, but I liked what I saw, and would definitely consider staying there again when I’m short on DVC points.

We quickly dropped our things off in the room, and made our way to Downtown Disney. We were planning on having dinner at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe. We both starrted off with potato soup. The potatoes were pureed to a liquified form, not what either of us was expecting, I thought it was a bit on the bland side. We both got filet mignon with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I really enjoyed my meal. The meat was very tender, and the potatoes were incredible. I don’t like asparagus, so I gave Lily mine, and she said it was very good. We were both too stuffed from our meal to order dessert.

We then headed over to the Marketplace for a spell. I wanted to upgrade my annual pass to a premium annual pass. We went to guest relations, and took care of that, and browsed around a few stores. I got a package of stickers and a Mickey punch for my scrapbooking.

We just missed a bus to the Dolphin, so we decided to hop on the bus to the Yacht Club. I was a bit anxious to make it to Jellyrolls, as my beloved Scotty and Ray were playing. I stopped at my room in the Dolphin, and called about my package. A security guard went searching for it, but couldn’t find anything for me. Lily ran over to the Boardwalk Bakery for coffee.

I then started to walk over to Jellyrolls, and passed Lily on the way. She told me there was a line out the door to get into Jellyrolls. Since it was about 11:00 by this point, I decided I would skip Jellyrolls that night since I would miss a good chunk of Scotty and Ray’s set to get in. I figured I’d get a good night’s sleep and get ready for my first day in the parks.

Hi Host Linden

Did you go to Disney after May 5. I am trying to decide if I want to go with my college dd Jan. 3-10, 2006 or the 2nd week of May 2006. How were the crowds?

Can't wait to read your reports,

Hi Marisa!

I arrived at Disney on May 7th. I thought the crowds were higher than when I went last May, but they weren't unmanagable. If you haven't been down for the Flower & Garden Festival, it's definitely worth checking out.

I really enjoyed sleeping in the heavenly bed they have there in the Dolphin. I would go back there in an instant.

Looking forward to the next installment.

Lily, days 1-4 are now up. How much are you going to pay me to edit out your embarrassing moments? ;)

Karen

Sounds like a nice start Karen - I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your stay at WDW! :wave2:

When will you tell about having to call us for bail money in middle of the night??? :confused3

Pam, that didn't happen until the day I started stage diving at Jellyrolls. Shhhh. Don't skip ahead.

Oops, my bad.... :guilty: I guess that little detail sticks out more than anything else - you know, geting a phone call at 2:30 in the morning, having to get a bail bondsman and wrie the $$$, then having to catch a red-eye flight to Florida after you skip bail.......

Yeah, that's right Pam, and I better run or change my identity before the coppers catch up with me.

Woo hoo! A Karen trip report. You know how much I always enjoy reading your trip reports. I'm going to enjoy reading this one even more than usual since I already know about some of the fun that is yet to come, hehehe!

Hi Karen! Looking forward to reading your report! I am probably going to do a solo trip next year!

I'm floored that you actually missed 1 minute, never mind an hour or two of your beloved Scotty and Ray!!! Now if a flood, tornado or some other natural disaster had come along I could understand but a mere line of people???? :rolleyes1

I don't know.....
