For those of you who may remember her, Kama lost her battle with breast cancer this weekend. She was one of the original YaYas, and one of the founders of the Duct Tape Protection Patrol if any of you remember that. She is also the one that was over the moon about Apolo Anton Ohno.

Kimmy, you are missed, and your legacy of love lives on in the hearts of your friends.

It is National Breast Cancer Month. Please support your favorite cancer charity so this nasty disease does not continue to dim the lights of some of our brightest and best loved souls....

Thanks for posting this LucyStorm. I posted in the Prayers thread also.

She will be missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to know her.

I'm very sorry to hear that. :( I didn't even know she was sick. :(

I still think of her when I see Apolo! So sad to hear this news. :(

LIfe is so unfair. Kim was such a great, funny, beautiful lady.

Prayers to her family and friends.

Apolo the dorkboy missed out big time.

Kimmy is and will be greatly missed. :sad1: Prayers going out to her family and friends.

Bonnie, I was so saddened to hear this news from you. :( I also did not know Kim had been ill. :sad1:

She is indeed one of those many bright lights from years back who helped make the community board the fun and unique place it was then. I recall many fun late nights, extra late actually, as she was a west coaster, where the night crew would be in stitches over whatever. And I can even recall, from the old moderator days, asking her a few times to revise a few of her posts, LOL, she was such a fun lady. ;) Gosh, how I hate, hate using past tense when speaking of friends like Kim.

I recall talking to Kim a number of times on the phone and spending some days with her and several other folks from the boards at WDW quite a few years ago. It was a pleasure to have met her, along with her son Cameron, in person.

And Apolo. Here is Kim's avatar right now, even though she has not been here for some time now.

Kim and Apolo were always in the same sentence here. I can smile in spite of the sadness.

Kim, the many, fun, late nights with you and so many others here back then, many no longer around, will be remembered for as long as my memory holds out. Thanks for those years of friendship. God speed. And God bless your hubby and Cameron.

This One is for You, Kama89.
You live forever in our hearts, Kim

.

I am so sorry.... I definitely remember Kama89... God bless her family.

Thanks, Lucy... you're an awesome friend.:sad1:

I didn't know she was sick either. :( :(

This is soo sad. She and Apolo go hand-in-hand for me too. I saw him on TV the other day and I immediately thought of Kim.

Her family will be in my prayers. How old was she and how old is Cameron now?

RIP, Kim. We will never forget you!!!

Hard to believe, but Cam is 19 or 20. I think 20. I have met them at WDW several times, and he is a delightful young man.

Her husband is a wonderful man as well. Very kind and loving, and a wonderful match for Kim.

For all of her spunk, Kim was one of the sweetest souls I have ever known.

I remember her and am so sorry she is gone, it is so sad to lose someone.

I did not know her, but she sounds like a wonderful lady. My prayers for her & her family.

So sorry to hear this. I remember her Apolo thread too. Prayers for peace and comfort for her family.

I'm so sorry to see this. The reference to Apollo brought a lot of her posts back for me. She was definitely a fun poster. :(
