Kama passed away

Wow, just wow...I am truly saddened to hear this :( I met Kim, her son Cameron and Dan in World Showcase during Dis Con and she was a blast to be around! So full of life and energy...Kama was my Kronk buddy and we always talked about how cool he was!! Kim will be truly missed...

Oh no! I wasn't on any of her clique threads but I remember her well. {{hugs}} to all her friends and family. I'll be thinking of her today.

I didn't know she was ill either.

I remember Kama89. So sad to hear she is gone.

We've lost way too many wonderful ladies here to that awful disease . . . :sad1: :sad1:

Wow, she seemed to be a remarkable woman. The song that is dedicated to her by dmurphy, I run for life is very beautiful. I am so sorry to hear that you have lost a friend, her family the glue that held them together. I will keep them in my prayers.

Oh my, I am so sorry to read about this! I had NO idea. Years ago when my youngest was in about 4th grade (he is a Jr in college now) he signed up for a pen pal. I believe it was National Geographic. Well, he was given about 3 random names and wrote to all of them The only one that wrote back was Kim's son Cameron. Our boys wrote back and forth quite regularly for a few years sending letters across the US to each other. They sent family pictures, small trinkets, etc. I am not sure if they really enjoyed the writing or if Kim and I made them do it!!

Anyway, after a few years of our kids writing, I was on the DIS one day and Kim contacted me asking if I just happened to be the mother of Cameron's pen pal. We had no idea that we both visited this site. The boys wrote about trips to Disney, but Kim and I made no contact until we met here!

Proof that it really is a small world! I will be thinking of Kim and her family :(

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry to hear this sad, sad news. I'm just shocked. Even though I haven't been around the Dis in years, those who I knew from "back in the day" remain in my heart and often come to mind. I've thought of Kim often over the years. I remember her zaniness when she started the YaYa thread, and how she cheered up people who were sad, calmed those who were a bit angry, "laughed with the best and cried with the rest". Her gentleness, kindness and sense or humor will forever be remembered by all who were touched by Kim.

I'm so sorry, Bonnie. My sincere heartfelt sympathy goes out to all who loved her.

How very, very sad. :sad1:

Also, I always felt that when she sent a PM or posted a reply on a thread you started, she always put much thought into what she wrote! She made it very personal like she has always been your friend.

lol...that's because she took notes. She never wanted to offend anyone or make them think that she hadn't respected what they said, so she would write down the important points she wanted to respond to. I teased her about this, but it is part of what made her a great friend. She was just that interested in what you had to say that she would write it down so that she didn't miss responding to you....:)

Awww....that gave me goosbumps! I never knew that :)

For those of you who may remember her, Kama lost her battle with breast cancer this weekend. She was one of the original YaYas, and one of the founders of the Duct Tape Protection Patrol if any of you remember that. She is also the one that was over the moon about Apolo Anton Ohno.

Kimmy, you are missed, and your legacy of love lives on in the hearts of your friends.

It is National Breast Cancer Month. Please support your favorite cancer charity so this nasty disease does not continue to dim the lights of some of our brightest and best loved souls....

Will be forever missing, you Kim!!! :sad1:

Bonnie-thanks for that picture, gosh she was as pretty outside as she was inside, wasn't she?

Her note taking always used to make me smile. :flower3:

Sorry, I deleted the picture, after thinking about it, I wasn't sure her husband would want it here...and I want to ask before I post it...
