kali...water level

I have been on Kali at all times of the year. It honestly seems to me that during the hotter months the water level is higher resulting much more "water damage" then in the cooler months. I recall several times while hot that no one escaped without getting drenched, and during cooler times one or two may get their bottom and back wet. On the cement side walls you can also see distinct higher and lower water level marks. Has anyone else noticed this?

No, but it makes sense. People don't mind getting drenched when it's hot and like to stay a little dryer when it's cool. They do something similar on Splash Mt in the final plunge's tunnel I think.

I don't know about Kali, but at Splash Mt. they definitely do it. This last December I rode it and they had the water turned way down. In case you are not aware, the canoe hitting the water at the bottom is not what splashes the most water, it is the water jets which are located there. They had those turned way down and the water fall was turned off in December. I like it that way. I don't ride Splash Mt. to get wet. I like the theme of it.

Yes, they definately lower the water level on Kali during the colder days/months. They also shut off some of the special water features (waterfalls/water cannons, etc).

I remember one Jan trip when they had a Kerosene blower type heater, plastic sheeting, and towels set up near the exit for people to try and dry off while warming up. There was one girl standing near the heater soaked from head to toe, so they may lower the water level, but it wont help everyone. I was happy we remembered the ponchos.

We rode it last week (you know-the cold week sandwiched in between the two warm weeks!) and we go soaked! We FROZE!!
