Has anyone taken their young 2 year old on this ride? My son will be two in March, and our trip is in May. I know that many two year olds probably aren't tall enough. I saw that the height requirement was 38 inches, and my son is exactly 38 inches tall right now. I didn't see an age requirement. I was wondering if anyone has taken a young two year old on this ride. Do you recommend it or not?

I am sure someone will be along soon with better advice, but I did take my just turned 3 DD on it. She loved it and we rode it 2x in a row. You do get very wet which is usually a bigger issue for the little ones than anything else. How is he in pools, tubs etc...? Does he mind if water splashes him in the face? Does he like showers or go under spray type things?

No, my kids didn't hit 38" until they were 3-4. However, I'm undecided as to whether take my 4yo on it for the first time...I'm afraid she'll get upset if she gets water splashed on her (based on experiences at a water playground last summer). She loves boats. She loves swimming. Just not running under sprinklers and things.

If they meet the height requirement it's safe for them, and I'm sure he'll enjoy it. He will get wet and very possibly soaked! I got soaked yesterday. It was like a tsunami went over me :rotfl:
Just make sure to tell him to brace himself, hold on you know as it can be jerky when you hit the bottom of the hill. Also, make sure he sits next to you and you can even put your free arm around him.
He'll have no problem, mine did it when they were little and yesterday I saw a very tiny boy getting on.
Have fun!!!

My 5 yr old granddaughter didn't get to 38 inches until she was 4. She loves swimming but hates water slides because she gets splashed in the face. She loved the Kali River Rapids and got very wet when she rode last year. She actually rode the ride 3 times in a row because it was not crowded (we went during the parade and there was no wait). This year she was very disappointed that she didn't get to do the ride because schedules did get her to Animal Kingdom. Some people get very wet and others not so much but you can never tell. They have special seats with a bar in front of them for kids under 42 inches.

My youngest was 3 last trip and not tall enough. But we have been on a similar type ride here when she was 2. And she loved it.

Our grandson was two last trip and just made the height requirement. He sat next to his Mom and giggled the whole time. We all had a ball just watching his reactions. He really enjoyed it.

i havent taken a 2 year old on kali, but from what i remember of the ride its not really that much rapids. its mostly sceanery
