Kalahari Resort

I'm thinking of taking the kids there for a couple days during Christmas break ($230/night compared to $410/night at Great Wolf Lodge!!!! and the water park is much bigger than GWL). Anyway, our experience at the GWL was less than positive - found it way too crowded - couldn't find a place to stand let alone sit, no lockers in the change rooms (got there before our room was ready), 30 minute line ups for the slides, etc. At Kalahari the public can purchase passes to the water park, so there could be an awful lot of people there. For those of you that have been there, did you find it overly crowded or was it large enough to handle all the people? Any hints or tips about the place?
