JW Marriott/Disney Experience...Any Reviews?

Hi. I am new to the DIS board. My family is planning a four day stay at the JW Marriott to do Seaworld, the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. I know they have a shuttle but was wondering if anyone has experience at staying here and then doing Disney...any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi welcome to DIS boards!!!

We stayed at the JW Grande Lakes last summer. It is a FABULOUS resort!! The pool is amazing! It is just down the street from Sea World. When we stayed there we did not do the parks but it is a short drive to WDW.

I just received an e-mail from Marriott. They have a new package called "Stay for Breakfast". It includes breakfast for the whole family and if you pay with a VISA card, you will receive a $100 coupon toward a future stay. We booked the JW for the last weekend in July 2004. We got a lakefront room for $199. This is a great deal because it includes the breakfast buffet at Citron which is EXCELLENT!! The code is OTP.

Welcome to the DIS, moppy! We're so glad you've joined us.

The JW is one of my favorite resorts. The pool area is fantastic, very relaxing, and it makes for some lovely photos. You'll have a number of excellent choices for dining as well. I think you'll be very pleased with your stay.

It's not a bad drive to Disney or Sea World at all, but at the same time you'll feel as if you're far away from all the hustle and bustle once you're back in your room.
