I think he is more talented than a lot of the other teen stars today. He can play his own instruments and writes his own songs. He seems to be following a similar path like Justin Timberlake - the solo career and SNL appearances. He'll probably branch out into movies. I think he'll be around for awhile. He does seem to have actual talent.

His vocal range is small, he's okay at guitar but he can't do much on guitar and singing at the same time, he's not great live, I admit his dancing skills are good and NO he does not write all his own songs. I have no clue where you read that but it definitely isn't true, though his songs are something an 8 year old can write... which by the way is about how old he looks. His personality is so annoying as well.

I like seeing trending topics on Twitter, I'll look for different things to see what's happening with them. For example, David Letterman was trending, I clicked on it, then it was "OMG Justin Bieber is on David Letterman"...

I can't go anywhere without hearing it, and yes, the helmet he calls hair really needs to get fixed

anyway, i've seen him on a few shows and he seems pretty sweet. he's always doing stuff for his fans giving them passes to shows and whatnot.

i'm just glad that the Jonas Brother's mania is over with.

My 13 year old daughter loves him and my 12 year old son looks kind of like him. There are worse teen idols out there. I have no objection to JB. Watching my dd and her friend squeal over him is cute and reminds me of when I used to act that way over New Kids on the Block (two summers ago on their reunion tour ).

He came to my area on holiday with his Dad, and I have first hand reports from friends of mine who encountered him, and he was not very nice. He actually cursed a teenage girl - can't remember what for! He went surfing at a popular place and was very snooty with the other kids who were surfing too. He went to a surf shop that a friend owns and acted like a total diva. When he first arrived all the kids were gripped with Bieber fever, but by the time he left they were pretty disillusioned.

I can't stand him...and luckily my DDs (ages 9 & 7) can't either, so I don't have to listen to him. They scream for me to turn the radio as soon as they hear one of his songs on. He totally sounds like a girl singing. ugh.

My 11 yr old and 12 yr old DD's agree. They cannot stand him...so I don't have to listen to him. They shut him down whenever he comes on Radio Disney. Among other things, they say he sounds like a girl.

My daughter and her friends started listing to him 2 years ago on YouTube and I have to admit I wasn't impressed, but now I'm a fan. Of course, she thinks he stupid and dorky now. I think he's talented and will have a lasting career if he plays his cards right. As for him personally, I don't know, I've never met him, nor will I ever. I'm sure he's been a butthead to people and he's been super nice to people. How would you like people screaming at you, chasing you, grabbing at you, always wanting something from you? It's a lot for anyone, let alone a kid to deal with. I mean think about it -- he's living his dream and getting paid, but to know what 100's of people will go unpaid if you cancel a concert? That everyone is waiting for you to screw up? That someone like Usher has his reputation on the line because of you? That's a lot for anyone. So I'm giving the Biebs the benefit of the doubt. No arrests, no sex tapes (that I know of), no drugs or rehab. I hope I'm right about this kid, but as a PP said, I think he could go the route of Timberlake if he keeps his head on straight.

I'm not a big fan, either is my daughter but I have to give him kudos for always remembering where he started. He regularly visits his hometown and jets his 'best friend' all over the world so they can hang out. Tonight the Beib's movie is playing in Stratford and even though they say he's not coming there is apparently a large number of security people (and press) set up at the cinema...no one would be surprised if he showed up out of the blue.

He donated a pair of his Nike runners to his old high school and they are auctioning them off to raise money towards a new media room.

Love Justin Bieber! Love his music, his hair, his public persona. His family seem very genuine, they were on Ellen also. Can't wait to see the movie!

The haters don't bother me, everyone has their own opinion. Honestly, I think they're missing out. How can you hate on a kid with such a positive vibe? There are a lot worse teen celebs out there.

And yes, I am old enough to be his mom....I am as proud of his accomplishments as his mother. I root for him as I do for my daughter.

I have three DDs, 14,10 and 5 and all have the Bieber fever! I am taking all of them to see the movie today. I am not a huge fan, but I guess he could be worse. I will try to post later about what I thought of the movie.....if I survive. A local radio station has been giving away special movie and dinner packages away all week, called Bieber and BBQ (Famous Daves). lol
