Right before school started I spent tons of money in Justice and received J Bucks.. When the dates were good I went into Justice to use them while they were having a 40% off the entire store.. I went to check out and I was told I could only use their sale or the coupon. Has anyone heard of this? I've been shopping at Gymboree for years since my daughter has been born and I could always use their Gymbucks with what ever sale they had going on in the store and the same for Children's Place.

Hello fellow Buffaloian! :yay:

I had the same issue too. I bought s bunch of stuff and earned the J Bucks coupons, and had the same confusion when I went to redeem them. I thought I got the sale prices and then the J Bucks on top of that. :worried:

I went to shop over Labor Day weekend when the sale was 40% off plus an additional 20% off. That works out to be a 52% discount. Your J Bucks actually offer a 60% discount. So, they ring up everything (unless it's redline clearance) as regular price and then take the J bucks off of that. You can use the J bucks on the clearance prices.

As with Gymbucks, I find I get the best deal when I stick as close to $50 increments as possible.

So, I had 6 of the coupons, and you can bet I was right around $300 before they started taking off all the coupons!

Hope this helps!

Yes, at Justice, you either use the Jbucks or the 40% off entire store, not both. That is how they've always worked.

Their 40% off sale is like every other month as well (seems like it) so you never pay the full price there. I am EXTREMELY happy my DD stopped liking Justice a couple years ago. We only buy tanks/cami's there now.

Had the same problem this weekend. So basically, what they wanted was for me to pay $30 for 2 long sleeve shirts, and on another transaction pay $26 for one long sleeve shirt. Maybe I'm cheap, but there is no way I'm paying $56 for 3 thin long sleeve shirts. I can get them for $10 at Target or Kohls any day.

Yeah this is the way Justice works and its listed on the J-Bucks as well. I recently went to use 1 of our J-Bucks card on a book bag and ended up saving more getting the book bag and a skirt by just taking the sale price than I would have if I bought just the bag with the J-Bucks.

How old is your DD? Any suggestions on other stores? My DD(9) chooses everything from Justice except performance wear. I am so tired of the prices...

Sadly yes Justice only allows you to use one. With the new JBUCKS being worth $30 off $50, they will be the better deal as long as your shop in increments of $50. The store is always 40% off it seems and at least every 6 weeks there is a FLASH sale of 40% + 20% which is as another poster stated 52% off. If you subscribe to emails, you'll get one day sale notices where they focus on specific categories like tops, etc. Also, there are 50% everything one day sales often.

You can also find Justice clothes at TJ Maxx and Marshalls. You have to check the racks and they don't have a ton, but yesterday I got my daughter a pair of Justice sweats, a Justice shirt and a 2 piece pajama set for $40. At Justice, I would have paid that just for the pajama's.

My daughter is 11 and just started middle school. Justice started going out here a couple years ago among her friends. My daughter still wears a size 10/12 in most brands so she can't shop for clothes at the stores she now likes unless it's an xs sweatshirt. She likes the teen stores like American Eagle, PacSun, etc. A couple days ago she wanted some rings, necklaces, scarfs so we went to PacSun, Charlotte Russ, and Buckle and found her some cute items.

I actually buy her clothes from local boutique stores (really cute tops, palazzo pants), The mall stores that do carry her size: abercrombie kids (size 12 super skinny jeans), Tillys, Nordstromsm, PS aeropostale, Forever 21 kids, Kohls, Macy's, Dillards.

We do spend a small fortune on DD's clothes and she has way too many clothes, but it's one of my favorite hobbies. I guess since I wear a military uniform I have fun buying her clothes.
