I was browsing through the 2 bedroom villas and it states sleeps 8. SO my question is do you register all 8 when you check in ? What if they are coming from 3 dif'retn states ?
We registered all guests in the villa when we checked in and that way had all room keys etc. If the others were arriving at a different time and we were going someplace else we left the keys at the front desk for them to pick up when they arrived. You can only have one credit card put on the account for charging purposes so that person needs to designate which key cards have charging priveleges and if you are on the dining plan you need to pay for it before the keys are issued. We solved that by everyone giving me their DDP money and I put it on my card when I checked in. It is easiest if you have all people listed on the reservation prior to check in also.
Hmmmm....I wonder if things have loosened up a bit. The last two times I was at a DVC resort (Dec. 05/Jan. 06 and March 06) they were adamant about seeing the photo ID's of every person registered in the room (except for children as I recall). I have also had to show a photo ID to check into every hotel I have been in since 9/11 (in Europe, even prior to this, every person needed to show their passport and prove their identity upon checking into a hotel, and in many places you were expected to forfeit your passport overnight for security purposes--we were told prior to our trip to expect this but we never had ours taken overnight). Thus, you had to show a photo ID to a CM in order to get your room key with your name on it.

Doctor P: We were just at the BCV's at the beginning of October and they only wanted to see the ID of the person checking in. We had 7 in total, 4 over 18.
We also had to show an ID upon entering through the guarded gate.
Great! We are planning to rent the sleeps 8 location but don't know who will make it yet I am doing an RSVP with friends but we are all coming from 4 different states! This is a good FYI thank you so much! And if you smell BBQ on your next trip if you see me with my lime green apron please stop by there's always plenty of BBQ to go around

That's a change, then. In fact, our daughter had her school picture ID out since they were carding every person in the room, and they said that minors did not need to show ID. I know that we ALL (except minors) had to show picture ID's in both December and March.
We also just got back from a trip on October 13th. At BCV, I only had to show my ID, the CM didn't ask for DH's even though he was standing there with me.
