Just wondering if anyone regrets buying into DVC!!

Just wondering if anyone is sorry that they bought into the DVC and why they think it was a bad deal! Just curious!!! I hear so much good feelings, just wondering if any bad ones?

My only regret is not buying sooner. My reluctance was the bad reputation that timeshares had, and I viewed DVC as a timeshare with a name designed to make it NOT sound like it was a timeshare. After I took the time to look in to it my and my wife's mind changed. Unfortunately.....years passed.

My regrets are few:
I regret not buying sooner.
I regret not buying more in the beginning (money was an issue, so we bought what we could at the time)
I regret that when we added 50 at VB that we did not add more (we LOVE Vb and can see ourselves going there more and wanting bigger accomodations)

Otherwise, no way do I regret buying into DVC! This was a great investment for us. We have been able to visit the mouse more in the last two years than we did in our entire lives. It also allows us to stay in beautiful resorts that we other wise would not have stayed it!

DVC is a great thing!

No regrets for buying, only regrets we didn't do it sooner. We bought 230 points in 1997 and added on 150 in 1999. These are all OKW points. We have had many trips with friends, relatives, and just our own family, and even just the two of us. Next year we are using Disney points for Hawaii as well as a WDW trip. I LOVE THIS!~!

Agree that you'll find more positive news here than negative, but like everyone else, I only have 2 regrets - not buying sooner, and not buying more (before BWV sold out!)

Oh, well, BCV - we're waiting.

ttsui01, might be right. If someone had regrets about being part of DVC, they probably wouldn't be cruising these boards.

I could say like everyone else that I regret not buying earlier. However, I look back at my first opportunity to buy and I just wasn't in the right place at the time. I liked going to WDW but my love of Disney had not matured. If I had bought back then, I might have sold after a while or gotten burned out. Now I'm ready so now is when I bought.

Actually did an add-on at VWL earlier than I had planned just so I wouldn't be caught after they sell out regretting that I hadn't done it in time.

So, no regrets.

1. Not buying when I first found out about it.

2. Not buying more points.

Well, we bought in '92 and added on during our first trip in '93, we bought right at the begining and bought enough points for 10-12 nights in a GV at OKW.....it just don't get better than this.
