Just won FREE Trip to WDW w/ AAA

I currently am going to WDW in June to stay at the YC for a restful vacation - no parks, just swimming, etc. and one day at Epcot. This morning I foundn out I won a disney contest thru Triple A for a week stay at a mod, free dining and free park hoppers. I should be thrilled but travel dates are REALLY restrictive. Since I am going in June, only date that works for me for the free trip is August 14 - 21st. But free is free. But I am hoping tomorrow when I talk to them perhaps they would just give me the free tickets and keep the package? I need to pay for airfare.....Anyone else ever win a free trip from Triple A - are tickets upgradable? Meaning I would take the tix to the disney counter and upgrade them to "never expire".

Congrats!!! I don't know about AAA, but I won a trip from HP in 2007 that included 4 day park hopper tickets. I was able to upgrade them to 7 day park hoppers with no problem. I would imagine your tickets will be upgradable too. Hopefully someone else will know for sure. Good luck!

So, I have a trip planned from 2/23-3/3 using DVC points and already had airfare booked and I found out on Friday that I won a free trip from Arista Nashville thru a Brad Paisley radio promo. The trip I won is for the EXACT same time I am already there! We were able to take 3 friends, but I am wondering the same about our park tickets. That is the one perk of the win that my family will be able to use. I hope they are upgradeable too! Congrats to you!

Congrats on your prize!!! When it is a week you can use and it makes fiscal sense on taxes I love it! I am getting bashed to heck and back on another thread for appearing "greedy" with my limited travel dates...Sigh..Oh well!I am going to call Triple A tomorrow and just be honest with what I NEED out of this trip and that is those tix to be ugradable. If they are not, trip is not worth it to me after taxes.....Would rather stick with my plan A! :
