Yes, but you get a free make over. Then they want you to buy all the stuff they put on your face.

It is a set up to buy their make up...I used to work with a Mary Kay rep. and she asked me to do this. I did it and that is all it was.
And they try to get YOU to sell Mary Kay too...scam, scam, scam.
I do like their make up but will NOT be a rep!

Ok, now that I have got the Magic Kingdom out of my head (not really, but I AM trying-I really WOULD love to be a MK model ), I do remember doing something like this 15 years ago, before kids. But the rep tied it in with a dept store and a fashion show. I got my hair done, makeup, and modeled several outfits. I did NOT buy any makeup, but DID buy an outfit.

Is she doing this at her house with many others present??

Yea, it's a group thing. No one was available on Halloween, except me. I am looking for new makeup. I met her at a Women Entrepeneurs Expo last week and she is super nice, so I am helping out. Just curious, thanks!

First I was going to be a 'model'.
Then I was going to get a 'makeover'.

When I showed up- it was me and another ladie, and there were about 10 ladies in the 'audience'.

Then we two were 'informed' that we would be doing our own 'makeover'.

I went through all the motions, got 'oohed and ahhhed' at by the 'audience', had them total up my products, went into the restroom to wash my face, and came out to find that my total was about $150. For GOOP!!!

Liquid makeup!

I now use mineral makeup (Bare Escentuals) and LOVE IT!! It does seem to be kind of expensive in thought- but my $25 foundation purchase will last me for about 9 months to a year or more.

No real idea what will happen at the party.

I agree with the Bare Minerals. Buy some mascara or something if you feel obligated and get the Bare Escentuals instead. My neighbor is a MK rep and she knows I wear BE. But I get mascara and a few odds and ends from her on occasion.

I LOVE Bare Escentuals!! I was just going to reorder when this all came about.

Out here, they're having a 30 makeovers in 30 days contest where the consultant gets something if you get all of them done on time. Mine had to take before and after photos of me, too. Either that or it was the catch to get me to do it, but since I am her friend...she'd better be honest!
