As some of you know.. I help create the scrapbook for DD's 4-H club with the assistance of the kids... I created the opening day of our county fair page as a replica of our banner last year.
Here is what I have so far... I will be adding grass in front of the barn after I get zooballoo on June 15th (can you tell I will be stalking stores until I find it that day!)... I will also be adding a haystack in the top barn window...
I will be hanging a sign on top of the barn door that has the theme to last year's fair "Wide Open Spaces".. than on either side of the barn in the sky will have 2 clouds.. one with the county fair name.. the other with the dates..
Tell me does it look okay or is it awful and I need to scrap the idea???
I'll definitely post the after picture when the whole page is complete too...

Oh, no, it is super cute! Don't scrap it (no pun intended... ) It looks adorable. How did you cut out the barn?

I winged the barn all on my own... I used AWM's Al's toy barn to help with the top... and the rest of it I just did on my own.. that is another reason I took a picture of it so I could replicate it again!!!!

I was smiling ear to ear.. the kids and DH were laughing at me.. but I was so happy with it!

I'm so excited... I've done most of my chores this morning because my babysitting kids aren't here yet (due here anytime)...so I can crank some more out while they are watching a movie before we have to go pick up the kdg. kids!

No problem lift away!
I need to go back downstairs and write all my measurements down..

I know the bottom of the barn was 8.5 wide & height was ?
I know the doors were cut from the bottom of the barn up 5 ".. and than I scored the doors 2.5 eaches from the center where I opened the barn doors..and the center for the door was 4.25...
I know the top of the barn was 9 inches wide.. height was ?
I also overlapped the top and the bottom of the barn a bit...
Than I kind of rounded them off by eyeballing it from Al's Toy Barn and took off the topper of Al's Barn..

Okay, here is what I have added.. now I"m just missing my grass and adhering the animals...

No paper.. we have a few kids in our club that are allergic to hay...so it wasn't an option...but one that I did consider!!!!!
